Why remove pet scaling - this is lazy fix to scoprid

Difference is it doesn’t do anything in comparison vs mage damage spell…

You sound mad and a lil’bigoted.

No not really, I don’t care that much. Just the way it is. You can do whatever you want, doesn’t mean it will work.

If you look in the upper right hand corner you can see a marker that shows I was replying to someone other than yourself Papadkz.

On phone, my bad.

Mhm. Ten characters.

It’s literally one pet. That’s all…

They did remove all pet scaling for a while

wind serpent and scorpid, 2 pets. As of right now mages are so bad in raid you are getting carried or denied. So you are left with WSG if nobody is willing to carry you in raid. Serpents in wsg can deal almost 400 dmg in about 2 global cooldowns right now. (2 shots of the lightning + regen focus for the third a very short time later)

Just stop with random lies, my rank 3 lightning breath (lvl 24 ability) is dealing ~100 dmg on SW rats, it deals 55 to 75 in WSG when I tested, from base dmg 36 to 41.
Rank 1 scorp poison (lvl 8 ability) however deals ~70 dmg on mobs of my lvl with only 1 stack, and base dmg is 2 per tick.

The scaling issue is only with scorpid poison, lightning breath is perfectly fine and that’s why they reverted the “fix” in the first place.

Ran with three hunters in BFD last night. One scorpird, two wind serpents, all of them were mid to pre-raid bis all of them pulled 85 on the low end to 101+ dps consistently. My warlock did around 60-80, our mage did around 40-60. I think Hunters are fine where they are at. I thought SOD was suppose to be about bringing other people up to be comparable not nerfing everyone down. (Obviously fixing unintended things like KC is fine)

They disabled pet scaling? I almost find this unbelievable. What a horrendous change. They really are doing all they can to ruin hunters. Just plain incompetence.

It was briefly disabled but it’s now enabled again.

Thank you for the update. I don’t use social media and they don’t communicate using their launcher or forums.

You know how when you get something wrong and someone correct’s you and their correction just shows the situation was even worse than you made it out to be or at least incriminates the person enough to justify your initial statement? That is what just happened here.

How much damage do you think other classes’ abilities are dealing in pvp?

You think you dunked on me by admitting serpent “”““only””“”" does 300 damage in the blink of an eye? Do you realize that is half of a caster’s hp (without outside buffs)?

I have taken hits for 140, maybe I had berserking but that is only a 10% difference.

I am sincerely waiting for your response because based on how you answer my first question I can make this a teachable moment or put you on ignore for trolling.

Here is a hint for the state of the game. My level 2 priest’s penance deals more healing per second than my lvl 25 mage’s scorch deals dps.

top of the meters is complaining about being ruined, 1 pet capable of dealing more burst damage than the signature burst damage casters in the game, “”“completely unbelievably ruined”“”.

Lmao should I go to reddit, what is this forum??

It’s not 300 in the blink of an eye because LB interrupts every other pet actions (including movement). I do ~100 against targets with no mitigation which is never the case in WSG.
If you got hit for 140 my guess is the pet was buffed by the first stack of kill command which has a 1 min cd AND you had berserk.
But anyway idk how you come up with 300 or 400 dmg in 2 gcd.

This is failure by degrees on your part. It deals entirely too much damage, trying to ignore that fact by pointing out that the hunter can only do that every 60 seconds is just not sane reasoning. I will be on the look out for serpents in wsg, if I get you some screenies will you change your mind or is this just performative for you?

Chimera shot is excellent in pvp. The one downside is that you can’t disarm more than one target per minute, instead of what the text hints at of the disarmed target being immuned to the effect for that minute.

A situational chance to disarm a melee class once a minute is okay at best, not excellent. And as I already said, the minute the proc chance shows itself as useful they’re gonna nerf it.
