Why Raider IO NEEDS to be removed

Yes.

Yes.

Obviously it doesn’t since Blizz is adding it into the game. Rip.
Now if they only added DBM.

I do, too, for the most part. It’s far more pleasant that way.

And zero wait time on a group.

I once had to wait 3 minutes for a guildie to let their dog out.

You have been proven wrong! You must now be crucified, GD style

Ask your guildie where is the dedication? Tell that dog to hold it. Do they not know in order to push keys you have to be a no life, neckbeard?? That means no pets!

I shall inquire!

You make it sound like this is the norm… in that case why dont you just go get carried too? Hmm?

Use your own key… no declines… try it and see how many high io players apply and you’ll realise why you’re getting declined.

This week might feel especially hard to get into groups cos nobodys pushing and many higher io players will just be pugging some 14/15 keys for their vault. Or at least I am…

You mean to tell me after all this time you IO haters havent created communities to group with each other? With all these threads I can only assume there are enough of you that hate it that it shouldn’t be hard to find each other and create communities, group, etc.

Yeah don’t worry OP no one will be using it soon

oh no! not time and effort!

How do you get the idea that Raider IO is the problem? Your problem is that you play a garbage spec that Blizzard puts zero effort into fixing. If anything, IO score helps you since your score is pretty decent. Removing Raider IO won’t change the fact that Retribution is garbage for keystones and no one will invite you anyways.

You basically have 4 options

  1. Start your own groups and be very selective about who you invite
  2. Re-spec tank or healer
  3. Re-roll new character, pick a meta spec that will actually get invited
  4. Quit doing mythic keystones until Retribution is worth a damn (don’t hold your breath)

Raider io isn’t the problem.

The problem is blizzard and their poor design of these dungeons.

They heavily favor classes with no aoe cap, battle res(cause of limited check points) instance covs abilites and lust.

Raider.io isn’t stopping you, blizzard poor design is.

I have an idea: Why don’t we try out blizzard’s new scoring system before we condemn it?

Another person who complains about raider io and yet does the exact same thing as all the rest that complain that really does tell me how lazy they are, I have the solution for you, We’ve said the solution a thousand times but i’ll repeat it in bold in the hopes that maybe people can understand it.

When I’m forming a group I take all aspects into consideration. IO is just one of them but not the be all end all factor. Pending the key level you really want a solid group that has experience in similar content. I check logs if they are there, what gear / leggo / spec they are running, etc

Now the issue lies with group comp. You need to remember that most groups take normally one melee at most pending affix and MAYBE two. Sadly ret isn’t a high in demand class compared to what else is out there. It comes down to what the class and contribute to the group in not just DPS/Healing but utility.

Overall its around six classes competing for one melee spot. Not many will take a ret pally.

They are, they adding raider IO to the game

I highly recommend reading this post, as he goes through a lot of what it takes to get KSM through pugging.

The one thing I will say: if you are a dps, I highly recommend running your own keys. Maybe they succeed, maybe they don’t. Just keep running it. That’s not just IO, it’s a community perception of wanting to take the best dps for the job, since higher dps means more room for mistakes (a lot more room), and reduced boss durations mean fewer mistakes. As such, if you are not playing “top tier” desired dps (fire mages, boomkins), it’s not just IO holding you back.

The only thing you can do is overcome the challenges in front of you. If you just blame other systems, nothing will actually be accomplished.

raider.io is not the problem, problem is you are pugging keys instead of being part of a group of people to do it.

If you pug in WOW, you will always have a miserable life, raider.io or not.
