Why PvPers are better than PvErs

Raiders just have to raid and do mythic+ to get AOTC.

Mythic+ people just have to do mythic+ and occasionally raid to get KSM.

But people that want to climb the arena ladders have to do arena, mythic+, and raid (for trinkets, essences, and bis gear) all of this for duelist/glad/r1.

PvPers deserve the first say in deciding how classes are balanced for Shadowlands because they are the ones who actually play every part of the game.

Imagine if raiders had to slave away in PvP just to get geared. There would be riots. Can someone tell me why the other way around is acceptable?

Not constructive.

I agree with this post.

Too true.

Anyone can play Simon Says in a dungeon. PVP is crazy and unpredictable. No DBM mod to tell you what the other player is going to do.

Imagine if Ion was a PvPer instead of a raid logger. Class design wouldn’t be garbage.

I am guessing you didn’t play during Warlords of Draenor otherwise you know that Blizzard did back during WoD, when Blizzard forced PvErs to run ashran, bgs, arena, etc apart of the questlines, for the legendary ring questline, and for PvP gear since pve gear scaled down in pvp and pvp offered some decent items at the time usable in PvE…

For Legion, Blizzard had to do a 180 on that decision because during all of WoD, all the PvPers complained nonstop because they were getting dominated by all the plethora of PvEers… in the rated brackets too, as alot of mythic raiders also dominated the top spots in the arena/bg leaderboards… This is also around the period when top raiding guilds, such as Method, formed their PvP branches initially comprised of members who were the world’s top raiders whom went on to dominate the arena/bg scene even to this day.

Aviela’s right though. Respect to PvPers who can put up with content they have no business having to do.

But why not i’ll bite…

PvP’ers were responsible for alot of the class imbalances in the past, when arenas opened up everything got reshuffled to balance for it (Not that Blizz has ever been good at balance)

Even now, while Mythic has taken over as the main focus for balancing around, 3’s hold a high spot for balancing to be done around…

That said, they do need to stop forcing pvp’ers to pve for their gear… and bring back pvp stats!

I typically find pvp’ers less neurotic and more humble. Maybe they learn some humility by losing to other players or maybe its related to more masculine personality traits? Typically every time I see some raging hysteric post on the forums its usually by someone who never does arenas.

I mean OP isn’t wrong though. It’s harder playing against other people than it is against NPC’s that are mean’t to be defeated.

Why PvEers are better than PvPers:

Please stop saying this. Blizzard balances PvP with nerfs/buffs that only activate in PvP combat or by tuning class auras in PvP combat. And if an ability is troublesome, it is disabled in rated combat.

PvP balancing just doesn’t affect PvE anymore and hasn’t for many expansions. But a quick look at patch notes even from BFA will show you PvE buffs (like to destro lock) that are not offset in PvP, making busted PvP classes even better because they sucked in PvE.
