I’m very new to World of Warcraft and am curious what others think has drawn them to the game; How long have you been playing World of Warcraft and what aspect or aspects of the game have kept you playing?
I’ve been playing since very early 2007. My friends had been trying to convince me to play since launch, I resisted that long. I was visiting my best friend and he made me a new character on his account as a trial. Thirty minutes later I was hooked. I’ve played at varying levels during the last 13 years, from progression raiding, to just leveling alts and going on fun/alt runs after I didn’t have time for progression anymore. I met my husband playing WoW, back in WotLK. We’ve been married 5.5 years now. We still play, and we’re looking forward to leveling together, as we have done every expansion since Cata.
As for game aspects, the quest/zone design has gotten increasingly better over the years. I like figuring out puzzles in new dungeons/raids, and leveling alts. For the new expansion, I look forward to seeing the new zones, getting Loremaster, finding new pets, earning mounts and transmog, and possibly even raiding a bit.
I just really enjoy RPGs. I like the questing, tweaking with character stats, and trying new playstyles with different classes. I started just this year and am so happy I have so much content to explore. And new content tonight!
