Its pretty simple to explain why people are leaving wow in droves.
Complete lack of regular content updates. Some previous expasions were well into there 2nd or 3rd content patch by now and we havent even had our first one yet MANY MONTHs after release.
Torghast never actually being tuned. The last boss upscaling has never actually been fixed or balanced. Wasting 2 hours on a run so i can get completely rofl stomped by a completely broken and over tuned final boss that is not at all representative of the difficulty or ilevel of the rest of the dungeon is just player abuse not gameplay.
Raider IO is the most toxic mod to ever effect the community. No other mod has caused more people to log off, rant, or quit the game entirely. Making it part of the game instead of banning people of using it is the absolute wrong move. All it does in increase bullying, hate, insults, exclusion and more. I myself have spent hours trying to join a group i was well beyond ILEVEL to do just because i dont have time to raid. Its absolute BS and needs to be removed and broken from the game not intergrated. This is a HUGE HUGE HUGE reason many people i know are canceling there subs you dont make the most toxic part of the game even more important all it will do is mean less people finding groups for M+ and further slowing gear progression and causing even more people to just not login any more.
The constant ignoreing of the obvious fact that you keep pointlessly timegating content for absolutely no reason at all. Making raids not fully clearable on release, staggering raid finder launches, and other toxic idioitic decisions further fracture teh community and increase toxicity.
Lack of fun content. Many of the dungeons are more tedious than fun and not alot of alternative progression outside of ilevel or pvp score makes the game boring once you hit the raidio hate wall.
Lack of regular content releases. Yes i know its on here twice but this is unforgiveable how long its been with out content people need to be fired over this and they need to stop with all the COD BS over there and focus on whats gotten them to this point in the first place BLIZZARD! Where the heck is my $15 going? Hitman gives me free content monthly. Many other free after purchase or even free to play games have monthly content i pay $15 a month you owe me content.
For $15/month, regular monthly content updates should be a thing, not “wait until the next patch”. A ton of F2P games do a much better job with new content.
Honestly I think Shadowlands is flawed with the potential to be great if it had more content.
Most expansions had problems which were fixed later on (I know, it’s not an excuse to make us wait for that long) but I think if Shadowlands had more content, we wouldn’t be seeing this problem.
Where are these “droves?” Do we have video of these “droves” or something?
I mean, I ran a Legion Invasion scenario and got grouped up in seconds for two expansion old content that I thought no one would be doing. I’ve not seen or felt the effects of these supposed “droves.”

You seem to know what everyone’s reason for quitting is … enlighten me on the more important stuff.
None of these are the reasons I haven’t been playing. It’s the fact that the expansion isn’t on Azeroth is what I don’t like. Outland is & was boring, Draenor is & was boring. Argus when I slowed down & stopped logging in so much is & was boring & Shadowlands is boring. All the issues you’ve mentioned I can deal with, but being away from Azeroth…can’t really explain it, but there’s just some thing about it I don’t like.
all I see here is you’re mad you can’t fool people into inviting your inexperienced self to their groups.
sorry dude, you aren’t entitled to another player’s group. get a key and start your own group if you want a guaranteed invite. Invite the first 4 people who sign up. Be the change you want to see.
go. with. a. group. if. you. cannot. kill. things. solo.
torghast. in. a. group. is. trivial.
raids are fully clearable on release. Do normal or heroic. LFR is a staggared release to mimic progression, because otherwise there is no progression since it’s so absurdly trivial.
People who think this are lazy, bad players who dont want to take the time to raise their score. If you are not bad you can literally raise your score high enough in a week or two to get into mid range keys.
Tl;Dr. All I know is boreghast is boring and gross. Also why don’t we get regular patches? Haven’t the vast majority of software companies stopped doing the whole 6-12 monthly update cycle? These days there should be updates, however minor, every month at least. It took them like 6 months to fix the night elf DH meta animation which was missing and they STILL HAVENT FIXED THE DREDGER WQ OR THE ARDENWEALD PET QUEST FROM EXPAC LAUNCH…WTF???
