ESO isnt free. You still have to buy the base game. If you want to play expansions you still have to buy those. Sure, you don’t have to play a sub if you dont want to but the experience is a lot less satisfying because you miss out on so much content and QoL stuff. And ESO endgame is left in the shade by WoW’s.
If you want to play something else, play something else. Nobody is chained to the game. I still find it worth the investment and since I paid for it and this expansion, I may as well at least get some gametime out of it.
