because it’s no where close to being finished

Because it’s likely far out enough that they don’t want to commit to a date yet.

There is no way in hell Dragonflight will be ready for 2022.

More like 2023, likely get WOTLK this year just to tide people over.

Isn’t it better to release it when it’s ready than to rush a due date?

No, that’s just good business sense. It is better to wait to commit to a date than to announce one and then have to push it back (like last time).

Plus last I saw Activision is kidna scrambling atm since Vanguard didn’t sell as well as they hoped it would.

Because they’re not confident enough of a release/date window yet.

Because they want to announce pre-orders at the same time as a release date/window.

It seems like they have a looooong way to go. At least I hope so. Can’t imagine it launching any time this year or most of next if this is all they have so far.

And remember, last time they gave a release date for an explanation they missed it big. (Though totally understandable with COVID).

well its blizzard we all know its not this year but they cant say then in 2023 ? Seems sad big company cant figure out then its going to be released …other big companys dont do that.

we will have alpha soon they said my guess is june-ish there will be alpha/beta for 6-7 months then pre patch.

id expect a feb-march 2023 release.

In the presentation, they mentioned they aren’t in Alpha yet.

So they don’t have a date for release.

lol… What are you even talking about? Other studios delay games all the time.

Or do you just want them to announce something so that you can gloat when they don’t meet their goal?

This is on par with Blizzard more than it is what they’ve been recently. Blizzard’s default response for anything regarding release dates was “When it’s ready”.

All companies do that.

We can do that?

There’s still other features they want to work on and all of the features they brought up aren’t finished yet.

Y’all aren’t thinking…

OP’s issue: why not put a 2023 time stamp on it? Is there SERIOUSLY a chance this thing isn’t coming out until 2024?

A year and a half (or more?!) long 9.2.xx?

That is what’s worrisome and why he’s asking.
