You provided evidence that he might be wrong, he didn’t provide any and still refuses to acknowledge that he might be wrong. That’s a good hint to stop replying to him.
I hope it was enjoyable, what did ya eat?
COVID can’t get you at Wal-Mart silly.
On a more serious side, yeah a lot of travel + elderly relatives is probably a bad idea.
Is that a serious comment?
Hope you say that same thing in the dozens of threads made weekly on the topic of the 1% influencing game design.
I can’t tell if you’re joking or not.
Why would I be joking?
are you really upset that you have to choose family over a video game?
I mean lots of people treat this game like a job.
So I can’t tell if you mean that, or if you mean that you literally make a living from this somehow.
I’m trying to come up with a clearer explanation.
Maybe its that you own a store that sells winter gear and you aren’t open for the first snowfall?
Its not an option for me, if I want my business to grow.
The only option is play the game, keep the growth steady, and appeal to the market who isn’t influenced by the holiday.
If you have to decide between a computer game and your family, maybe your not as amazing as you think.
Beautiful quote. 100%
Mythic progress will happen on Christmas anyway
Like four people care. You’ll still have the entire raid tier, go spend Christmas with your siblings and parents or something. Missing one week of mythic so the expansion isn’t delayed into next year is a sacrifice I’m ready for you to make.

Millions of people work the holidays.
It sucks, but it’s fairly normal.
Yikes. Seems like a questionable decision to base your welfare on a video game you have no control over, but I guess I’ve heard of dumber occupations.
As an aside, this is the original launch date of Vanilla. Exact anniversary.
Were you here to complain about that, too?
#freethemogs
Second or third? The first never ended.
Its not about working the holidays.
Its about having every day of the year off except the holidays. That’s essentially what has happened here.
I already spoke with my family and they were disappointed but no worries it seems.
But even my mom said “wow you waited all fall for this, and THAT was the date they came up with?”
She likely doesn’t understand how many people play this game in other countries though.
I lost my real job due to covid.
Thanks for your tremendous insight.
She likely doesn’t understand how many people play this game in other countries though.
She also probably doesn’t get that they wanted to release it three days ago, but here we are, having a more polished experience and not having to wait until literal Christmas week or the next year for a launch. Our blessings should be counted. We get a better game and we get it this year. I think your one week of mythic prog being lost for the holidays can be forgiven, yeah?

edit: deleted, confidential; Summary - I did too for a few years
I lost my real job due to covid.
I mean that sucks, but a lot of people are in the same boat.
You’re being vague about how exactly WoW is generating income for you but I’m assuming you’re a streamer or something? There’s always other games. If you’re actually good at it and entertaining, you’ll be fine. At least until you can get a real job again.
So um release it right AFTER black Friday and cyber Monday?
