You re looking at Europe that is 44 countries, then Asia at 48, then Aus and New Zealand
So yeah I do not know how hard it is to grasp that Majority of WoW players are not from US no matter how hard you try to slice from it .

You shouldn’t be going to family during Thanksgiving anyway, big gatherings are sort of a bad idea in the middle of a pandemic.
And no, they’re not magically safe because they’re ‘my family’ and you trust them. You have no idea who might be showing up feeling fine and then suddenly grandma is in the hospital.
Just stay home and enjoy some game time on the day off.

Well, theres lots of jobs where they may not even get the holiday off at all. Then theres jobs where you can earn vacation time and maybe use it, but it’s not always paid vacation. So if you make your own schedule and you work for yourself… you really still have a choice. Work and make money or take unpaid vacation?
4 people. “Big gathering” yet no issue going to work with 300 people. Or going to a store.

I guarantee some people are gonna have much bigger family gatherings than that. Then uncle Bob is gonna spread covid to the whole family.
It sucks. We already agreed to keep it to immediate family.

The game is designed for PG 13 folks to waste free time they have for entertainment . It is not designed for ppl who treat the ingame activities as a job to earn their daily bread.
When it comes to your opinion having any weight in Blizzard’s Decisions making, it has none.

Yeah but America’s population is massive compared to any single European country, with the US being the 3rd most populous country. The US population is almost half of the entirety of Europe. Blizzard is an American country and Warcraft is an American IP. I made a guess that WoW’s majority player base was American due to these simple facts.
My post was not an “the world is America” post but just asking a question based on what I know and assumed. I never even said the majority of the player base was American, just asking. So yeah, sorry I offended you but asking a question. Wasn’t trying to at all.
Just don’t play for the day the game isn’t going anywhere.

Who cares. Play at your own pace. If you were going to be busy during thanksgiving week then it launching during that week makes no diff.
