some people are just committed to education especially at a higher level ; why not have some official educational course to help wow players gain some additional entry points towards their GED or college applications . . .
this would having some people doing online learning of something they are interested in while gaining life skills to help them with some formal recognition down the line in life …

This could pair nicely with my online gender studies courses. Maybe how to create NPC characters with a focus on intersectionality and diversity. Or maybe something like the ‘island of misfit toys’ concept, an entire community striving to find its place.

Uh… I’m good thank you. I’m pretty sure, I don’t need WOW for my college applications, but thank you for your concern,.

At least it’s not asking for 1000 words on the Tammany Hall scandal.

Stop playing with your food and finish them, Ulgrax! Unless they can tell me when the Sherman Antitrust act was first passed!

I’m very much in favor of education, but video games are hardly the place to seek it out.

Isn’t most of the playerbase past the point of a college education?
I’m heading into a decade working soon.
So if I an understanding this, you think playing WoW should count as credit towards a GED or college degree?
How is wow useful in any form to IRL ? Maybe production line where you have to do the same thing over and over

Could have fringe cases where it provides a social aspect to people who don’t have any. I haven’t quite seen it here but in my previous MMOs some people only friends were people they met in the game.
People are not even friendly in game, and straight up weird

You could do a paper on the what causes “toxic” behavior in the community and it’s relationship to social media and the internet at large, with a focus on group interactions.
That’d be a fun read.
If you want to mix education and gaming then Age of Empires 1-3 campaign modes are good.
