Wanting more engaging and varied content with worthwhile rewards shouldn’t be a controversial ask. Establishing a higher baseline for gear across all content also allows for a player to more easily dabble in other content, because the investment required is no longer as daunting. Having catch-up gear in constant Timeless Isle copy/pastes already sets this up, so why the push back?

I’m not that type of person but more understanding of op than some folks here.
You literally can do the exact same content I do if you chose too. YOU choose to not do the content therefore you are gatekeeping yourself.
I Have argued this as well. Works in FFXIV, and they have extreme raiding everyone gets along, the people who do extreme are only 10 ilvl higher then casual play gear (crafted) .
Problem with wow is they keep packing too many mobs and everything is elite now and it favors the people in gear 50 ilvls higher then the casual in world quest gear struggling with one mob who have to stop and eat after a 2 minute fight.
Game has changed to only favor raiding and mythic+ players who don’t even care about content in the world.

Let me give an example of gear in wq and funneling ,i’m 233 look at the wq’s it’s level 210 is it worth doing them for a piece that would help balance stats? Nope, it will always by 10 levels lower than my gear i have now,funneled to do mythics and raids, I can do them sure i can before but now it’s too late .To tell you the truth we have limited days of life in this world and enjoyment ,cherish it more than arguing a game.

I don’t do high content any more because of the blocks ,I use to do them a lot and it was joy and exciting.Now it is a memory only ,i just do the wq content it is fine but i do understand people have their own takes in this game ,some love raiding ,others like transmogs but they do need the gear to fit the challenges ,it not fitting it now ,i do hope in the future it would.

The gear is there, you dont need higher than normal raid loot for world quests

To be clear, I think the best gear available to a raider should come from mythic raids. Tier sets are a good way to help elevate content specific advantages and borrowed power systems. Gathering and crafting should get some more meaningful content, and gear sets to excel at those. Same with world content. Same with PvP. Introduce more mount centric content like races and breeding, do gear sets for that.
Just pulling numbers out of my rear, but normal content gives you 90% of item value, Heroic 95%, Mythic 100%. Port those tiers of content over to non-instanced things so every facet of the game gets high ceilings on their favorite content and perks (gear or otherwise) for excelling at it.
I’m not going to circumvent an argument here,it make no sense.The content is higher than the gear can provide that’s it a it’s simple. If you don’t understand that ,imho,you don’t know what you’re talking about.

I wish that were so ever since mythics was introduce the system of all content is off balanced including pvp. They real should do a better job of scaling ,but how to do it and be meaningful is a technical problem,plus how the content should match progressions ,this is a nightmare.

I sincerely believe that each type of gear should have a bonus for the type of content you’re doing and only be present there.
Armor that’s upgradeable over time based on which boss you kill (think upgrading dom shards by killing trash in SoD). Soul twining crescent as well, but applied to gear. Say you get Normal shoulders from your chest from SoD but never see it in heroic/mythic. If you keep killing those bosses, they give you a tiny sliver of item upgrade over time or so that you can shove at that piece.
Our raid/vault hates cloth casters and their stats this time.

and with that gear have you ever had any issues in the open world (not counting trying to solo the rare elites)?
