Why no physical tabard?

I love being able to equip the physical tabard. I have one on a few characters but have a new druid and would love to hit 2400 on this alt and be able to buy it off the vendor.

Finally a good thread. This was SL #1 thing they did wrong.

I liked that there’s no physical tabard. It saves me room in my bags. Why do you want the physical tabard? You can just wear any tabard and transmog it on.

“I love being able to equip the physical tabard” per the first sentence in my post

Also pretty lame they changed dread and sinful flame to not be on the vendors

Not having my bags fill up with 2100 cloaks and (hopefully soon) 2400 tabard is a bad change.

It’s a prestige item, and should be back in the game.

Yes but what’s the difference between wearing the physical tabard vs. transmogging it? It’ll still display the same on your character. That’s what your post fails to communicate.

lily go back to your swamp

did nayoko break up with you again why are you mentally in shambles and rping again

lmao.

But yeah physical tabard item is great. My dh has like 5 tabards and I love the bank slots they take. Really wanted to start a collection on my dk.

There’s no practical reason it’s just a good feeling for collectors when you open your bank and have physical copies of unique stuff you’ve collected over the years

Same reason I have a bookshelf even though I also have a tablet I can read all those same books on

I like that I can equip it and it fills out on my character sheet it also represents some form of accomplishment/achievement when you inspect someone. It’s cool when you see someone rocking a wrath tabard physically. I still have the first 2200 tabard equipped on my monk even though I mog it as other stuff. It’s just cool and almost like wearing old tier gear in vanilla where you inspect someone and see it.

I believe, along with the enchants and Xmog, it’s easier to ensure that players don’t misplace the tabard, delete it, or have to work around adding these things to the vendors. (Where are the vendors!??!?)

From the business end, it’s just easier/better to make it BoA xmog, less messy. =/

Yeah as a consumer though I think it should stay. Sure you might get a few extra where is my tabard. However, they had rating requirements on vendor for many many expansions so they can slap it on the PvP vendor so you can just buy it. I think it’s just a weird thing to change now, as we are in the 30th season.

We need physical tabards back, idk why blizzard makes such dog decisions.

Only emotional tabards allowed.

I literally have an entire bank bag dedicated to pvp tabards and cloaks. It’s a shame they’re not items anymore, it was kinda something I was always looking forward to every pvp season, it’s really fun to collect them all in my bank.

Just like people that buy the physical copy of games instead of the digital one because they like having the box and the manual, etc., we like having our tabards as items to collect, not just the appearance.
