Just to expand on this a bit, more so for anyone coming here later via google or something:
Anyone can pay for someone else account, that doesn’t mean the card holder is the owner because of it.
And knowing the characters is rather pointless as anyone can find a given one on the armory, so it’d rather moot to try to use such. More so that one can guess what one does in the history of WoW, like did a rough number of dungeons, battlegrounds and the like.
