Why no feedback on Master of Harmony?

Hi hi, just coming back from a break in Dragonflight and was looking through the feedback for the new mistweaver trees. But, I can’t seem to find one for Master of Harmony. So let’s make one.

One primary feedback I’m seeing is I’d like Harmonic Gambit’s extra damage to contribute to TP, BOK, & RSK’s healing during ToTM. That seems like a missed interaction.

I dont think there are too many people excited or interested in testing the Harmony tree tbh. I havent heard any excitement about it, every streamer who’s tested it agrees it’s pretty boring and lackluster compared to Conduits.

My personal feedback is that the Harmony Tree is a pretty uninteresting and boring hero tree. Especially when compared to the Conduit tree. I think the Harmony Tree either needs to be buffed or just made better/more fun in general ( knowing blizz they will most likely keep nerfing conduit’s till the other tree is “interesting” )

Harmony Tree has a few cool things imo:

  • Roar from the heavens is neat, putting tiger’s Lust on a few people is cool but ultimately whatever because the extra people don’t get root/snare removes. ( just the main target )
  • Endless Draught is okay, gaining more TFT stacks can be fun but you can also easily do this in the spec tree via tea of plenty/serenity AND Thundering Focus though - so I dont see it as a huge win
  • Harmony will Probably be good for questing because more damage effects in general but Conduit has that beefy aoe heal/dmg cd and generally for levelling I just grab all the mobs, stack stat buffs and burn them down with SCK, Ill just do the same and add in the Conduit’s Hero tree talent for more dmg. I dont see the point in levelling a tree I wont play or care for.

Harmony has some really meh things:

  • No real fun gameplay additions, it feels like a glorified passive cloudburst totem or trinket type spread healing effect that isnt really fun. I never really liked this style of healing/trinket and now it’s a full blown hero talent tree, cringe
  • It’s really dps/Jadefire Stomp heavy with the dps talents, which synergizes more with that playstyle, locking you into one playstyle most likely
  • I dont like it being tied to TFTea personally. I already have Secret Infusion tied to TFT and this tree somewhat promotes holding TFT which isnt really ever the best thing to do. If I dont need the healing I tend to drop my tft to get the haste stat buff from tft-RenMist to do more damage while maintaining longer Ren Mists. I think the trigger should be another ability tbh.
  • Needs it’s own weak aura/tracker to see how much you are storing to min max it properly

When you compare it to the Conduit Tree you can see how boring/meh the Harmony Tree is.

Conduit Hero Tree gives:

  • another cooldown which can be combined with Secret infusion/Invoker’s Delight/Sheilun’s Gift’s buffs to be even beefier. Can be used for tons of healing or dps if you dont need the healing. Good in both M+ and raids.
  • The conduit cooldown kinda gives us a replacement for the loss of essence font. Not something everyone cares about but I find the conduit ability fills the gap somewhat. Raid healing without Essence Font wont be as boring with the conduit ability probably.
  • There are less Jadefire Stomp//dps playstyle related talents in the conduit tree compared to the Harmony Tree. Which make the Conduit Tree much more friendly/interesting for anyone playing mistweaver in general, and for multiple playstyles. Lot’s of synergy in general with the class’ talents/abilities.
  • Stronger vivify/Env Mist talent means better invig mist cleaves and ST healing, stronger Tears of the Morning, etc.
  • Black Ox shields are really nice and do decent healing, absorbs are always nice
  • Seeing my red cracked out chicken run around again even when talented into yulon is yay. plus he heals people and gives mana tea stacks when you spin kick for damage
  • Seeing Xuen do a scratch and heal someone is cool
  • Jade serpent talent reducing the cd on major abilities is nice, synergy with Sheilun’s is appreciated
-Free 2% stat buff’s is the cherry on top of everything this tree offers
-Fort Brew talent that gives a beefy absorb shield ( which I like better than the personal defensive node(s) in the Harmony Tree )
  • Having the august celestials pop up and help you during combat is thematically pretty cool imo.

The only real thing I dislike from the Conduit Hero Tree is the animation for the Conduit ability itself. Channeling while in meditation mode, going 175% speed, just looks immensely cringe/horrible. I wish they would have just copied the Essence Font animation to some degree for this ability.

I really hope we dont see more nerfs to the Conduit tree in their attempt to make the Harmony tree any better or more interesting. They already nerfed Conduits last week when they should have just revamped/fixed the Harmony tree to be more interesting/better in general. It lacks the fun, class/ability synergy, and strong cooldown that Conduits brings. Passive trees can work out if it’s fun, like summoning 3-4 ancestors at a time with the Farseer Shaman Hero Tree, but the whole Harmony tree feels like an extremely boring trinket effect they made into a talent tree. It’s very uninspired in general and feels miles behind the Conduit Tree in every aspect imo.

IMO.

I would rather see buffs & tweaks to the Harmony tree than nerfs to Conduit. There’s potential there, but you’re right that it’s lacking a lot of spell/talent interactions.

Same. I’m sitting here on edge waiting to see if more Beta/Dev notes will drop this week to see if they go the nerfing route again.

Really hope they just take a look at the Harmony Tree itself instead of nerfing Conduits more but at this point it might be too late.

Given Harmony shared with Brew, I expected a Mana Tea interaction.
But… uh… TFT is there, so it’s a start?

I plan on doing Celestials for MW, so consider this feedback as greyed out.

I’ve seen a lot of hype around harmony! Its not exciting like some other hero specs, but it is solid for Brewmasters. And I’m happy to accept a competent hero spec at all lol.

It’s a shame they are leaving MoH the way that it’s been.
