Agreed, I don’t get it either. Though I have always wished there was a way to reset your quest progress so you could do all your favorite quests over again. I’d love to be able to do all the quests in Netherstorm more than once without having to start over at level 1.
But I support the idea of special realms that reset and wipe all the characters for people who want that. It’s crazy that Blizzard has never tried this. You can’t just keep making new servers for the “fresh” thing, it makes no sense.
If that’s the case, it just shows Blizzard was lying when they said they cared about “meeting the diverse needs of players”. They continue to only really respect the vanilla fans.
I’m still holding out hope this is not the case, but I’m not wasting my time with the new servers unless they promise TBC Era in advance. I played original TBC, and then TBC Classic (which they sabotaged), and have played on multiple pservers. I’m not interested in accepting the scraps they toss us again just because TBC is my all-time favorite version of WoW.
Please give us an update on this blizz , let us play on TBC era servers forever and or copy our 20th anniversary classic characters to permanent classic era servers , don’t force us to cata and beyond again , thanks
Yes, I’d love to know where they are going with Anniversary. Is the entire expac cycle just going to replay again with them? Or we stopping at TBC? Classic is a big time investment so I’m sure we’d all like to know where our toons are going to end up after months or years.
Also, a bit strange to add shiny new mechanics for classic (dual, LFG) only for them to fall into disuse when we got to BC if they aren’t planned for Era. Just makes me wonder…
Agreed , a lot of people will not play or commit time to these characters if they don’t know what will happen to them once classic and TBC content cycles end , we already got burned TWICE by TBC and Wotlk not having era servers , don’t make us play cata and beyond again
Well to be fair, the original TBC was part of retail… no one expected to be able to stay in it, as much as some of us would have preferred it. However, with vanilla Classic getting Era servers, it really just feels like customer disdain that they won’t show us the same courtesy… or even respond to us about it right now when we’ve been screaming on these forums.
But yes, we did get burned HARD with TBC Classic. Not only did they back out of “meeting the diverse needs of players” and letting us stay in the expansion we prefer, but they also cancelled TBC early to rush people into WOTLK on the ridiculous new 20-year-old “progression” treadmill. I’m not interested in going through that again.
I’m talking about classic TBC and classic Wotlk from 2021 onwards , I put a lot of time into characters that I will never play again because I don’t ever want to progress to cataclysm and beyond , everything I did past classic era has been a complete waste of time because there aren’t TBC and Wotlk era servers , I don’t want to level ANOTHER blood elf paladin to 70 and gear it up just to get forced into cata eventually
I don’t understand the confusion. This won’t stop at tbc when literally the most popular expansion ever follows after. Prepare yourselves for the lich king
There’s no confusion , I think they should go to Wotlk again , but this time we need permanent era servers for TBC and Wotlk so our progress doesn’t keep getting reset and so we don’t have to move on to cata
Zero desire to go to wrath, want TBC forever servers that stay. If they want to do WOTLK servers, they should create new servers for that once TBC hits its final phase.
