Why no Block/ parry on Druids?

I’m leveling out in the world and i noticed that all of the beasts in the world can block/dodge/ parry. so why is it that Druids can only dodge?

Druids are just fake animals, they havent figured out how to parry with their claws or use their face as a shield as well as world mobs

maybe use an enemy as a shield. only works if there is another attacking mob? at least that would make some sense.

Lazy game design.

It’s because nobody bothered to take the druid to the pet trainer and teach them new skills :stuck_out_tongue:

because tbc was the vanilla fix

Druid where fully viable as tank paladin where tank god

Boomkind where aoe god as they should be. Ret was viable enh was fully viable . BUT

The zone where over exaggerated. The first zone literally feel like your on a planet with no atmosphere and no ozone layer. I hated tbc zone. The first zone is even worse than the barren since its not yellow its orange everywhere. Tbc + 1 class design -1 world in general +1 dungeon + 1 max lv content.

I DONT CARE THAT THEY WERE MADE FOR FLYING . classic got better zone 100 %

Hah! Pretty much.

Druids did not gain the ability to block or parry in BC or in WotLK.

See, the wild animals, they have hidden, invisible hands that they use to block and parry. Druids dont inherit these when then shift. Simple!

dont matter druid where fully viable as tank and boomkin where aoe god as they should be.

Parry requires a weapon, and block requires a shield, since a druid has no shield they can not block, and their weapon is not in use in bear form so they can not parry, the weapon is only a stat stick.

true however, all the other animals in the world dont have weapons yet they can still block and parry.

No, different class design. Warriors (and to an extent paladins) were trained soldiers, experts in weaponry. They have the skill to deflect and block an enemy’s attacks. Druids use their innate connection to nature and the magic they possess to take on the form of an animal that can withstand the punishment of an enemy’s attacks. It’s not lazy game design, it’s actually more creative than creating the same basic class with a different skin. This also goes back like 40 something years to Dungeons & Dragons.
