why in the world is there no longer a black list option? that awesome there is a different option for the large scale and small scale but umm yeah some bg’s are trash and would love the option to not have to que into them when on random. please bring it back

Then it sounds like you don’t actually want random BGs. You just want your favorite BGs.

I think a whitelist of ranked preferences for BGs would work better at this point.

They removed the ability to blacklist when they created a separate category for “Epic bgs”.
Considering that there is no PvP director, it’s not surprising that “epic bgs” like ashran and wintergrasp were made worse in the conversion process. Perhaps devs knew on some level that people would dislike certain ones and disproportionately blacklist them.

#1 Queuing specific gives no conquest. Random BGs are already pitiful amounts of conquest. Even though I enjoy BGs, I’d still like some kind of reward.
#2 Queue times become longer when you do specifics. I like a majority of the BGs but their are one or two that I wouldn’t miss. For whatever reason Seething Shore comes up far more often than any other BG, at least it seems like it. Sometimes you are just sick of doing a particular BG.
#3 You are limited to queuing for 3 BGs at once. Once again, I’m fine with a majority the BGs. There are 9 non-epic BGs.

Blacklisting used to be an option so can’t see why we can’t have it back, even if they only allow us to blacklist 1 bg it would be nice.

I also think it’s a good way to give feedback to the developers, if many people are blacklisting a specific bg (i.e. Seething Shore), then maybe they will try to improve it or in my opinion just throw it out. I feel like they pushed that bg on the community last expansion because it was new but its the only bg I ever see people complain every match.
People might still like a bg, but they’ll blacklist it if their faction keeps losing it over and over.
Experienced PvPers used to blacklist bgs that their faction lost most frequently, which probably exacerbated the problem.
Its to speed up queue times, same reason why PvE players can freely leave the dungeon after they kill 1 boss.
