Why no auction house in Oribos?

The Brokers draw the line at auctions. I mean black market auctions are ok. But not regular ones.

They did with MoP, Legion and BfA too. I think it’s so old cities like SW/Org don’t get abandoned and killed off. If there’s an AH in Oribos no one’s going to leave the city. This at least keeps some activity in the previous world.

The same reason they haven’t added an Auction House to any expansion capital in the history of the game outside of Engineering AH’s and the Garrison… trading post?

They want players to go back to SW/Org and keep the world feeling alive.

Just a game design element to make sure players still have to return to the capital cities.

Because by not putting auction houses in the “current” city, it splits the player base between multiple cities, which helps a ton for stability.

Swing by the AH in SW and Ironforge, then imagine adding them to the number of people currently in Orbios, and imagine the strain.

Yeah I was gonna say. Even in mists and beyond it’s never happened. But they did have the perk for engineers - which is rewarding to engineering.

Also mounts like the longboi get more value and unique flavor now like people mentioned above. Plus nobody would visit old captial cities if that was the case

My engineering rogue uses the auction house by the Engineering trainer. Just one of the worthwhile perks engineers can obtain.
