I’m curious to know why skirms don’t exist in Cata Classic.
And yes, I know it didn’t exist in original Cata. But that’s a lazy excuse. If Blizz took the time to code in the appearance tab, why can’t we have skirmishes? They were popular enough throughout Wrath.
If they put back 5v5s in retail that would be much cooler than having skirms in Cata.
I’ll provide one possibility…
It’s a random queue system and there is a bitter distaste for random queue systems by the programmers and the toxic elitist culture.
If some had their way, they would get rid of every single one; BGs, RDF, if you can queue for it, they’ll get rid of it.
To this day, you’ll see a retailer or 2 still lobby to get rid of LFR.

BUT i sure wish they’d bring it back.
Was trying to get my hpal (that just hit 85) UI setup for arena and the only way to “test” how gladius, omnibar, omnicd, weakauras, plater, &c. will work during games is to play an actual game. Instead of the old system where you could que for a skrim and have a “no risk” environment to setup in.
I suppose one could use the newly implemented Wargame feature to accomplish this, but doing so would require far more effort.
I hear you, im usually resto but i wanna derp around as enha without tanking rating too much. Skirmishes would be perfect for that
