I mean, c’mon, gang. It’s 2025. We should be able to sim the whole raid, including what the loot will be. Then decide if we will go based on the sim data. It’s the future of gaming.

I guess I understand the gripe but you now have lfr, normal, heroic, and for the select few mythic raids that drop valor stones right? You also have normal, heroic and mythic dungeons. You also have mythic + dungeons. You can also fly around and pick up stuff around every zone that drops valor stones. It doesn’t seem that complicated to me to get more then what you need just participating in literally any content offered.

It might be that they did this to give another incentive to stay for the entire dungeon.
To keep people logging in everyday farming endless currencies lol. My guess this expansion will be much like DF in that it will end up with 9 or 10 different currencies needed for this and that before the expansion ends lol. Get a few of my retail cartoons to 80, then just ignore the rest of the expansion until the final one or two content patches when the last catchup mechs are implemented and get to avoid that currencies treadmill upgrading bs for the most part.
Unless I get into something, I’ll probably end up doing the same. Right now it’s fun just kinda doing whatever. If I start getting sucked into the grind though, probably just end up taking another break.
If that’s the case keep the Valor drop the same amount and only last boss drops them. But now blizzard nerf it so only boss drops them but online 15 instead.
They’re very clearly trying to push everyone into the M+ content to alleviate some of the group finder issues.
Turns out they’re going to deplete their playerbase by sending them into some of the hardest (if not the hardest) early season M+ ever put into the game. Players wearing hero track items are largely the only ones completing keys which award hero track items right now. I know multiple players with 100 parses in Mythic right now that are struggling in 7-8’s, depleting depending on the dungeon. The tuning is a giant miss.
Average to less-than-average players do not really stand a chance.
You are talking about the literal worst point in Shadowlands and maybe for some people the worst point in World of Warcraft. Most would probably consider that a learning moment for the developers of world of warcraft when they were forced to change their tune about system designs and community feedback.
You want to know why they actually have our backs? They know now that continuously ignoring player feedback like they did in early Shadowlands could have a very real impact and potentially could lead to another mass exodus.
Feels like the anima grind from Shadowlands. Artificially dragging limited content out so they can build the next expansion. I’m curious to see if splitting the dev team in half to produce the next expansion while managing the current one turns out to be a good idea. If Microsoft forced the head count cuts without Blizzard baking that into their plan, they could end up with 2 expansions with content droughts and a lot of unhappy players (or ex-players). Too soon to tell, but this doesn’t feel good.
Oh there are worse points remember in the 2nd raid they put out shard of domination with armor pieces to put them in and how you have to farm the right shard of domination since some is just bad while others straight up give certiain spec 10% damage buff just coz they got lucky with getting the right set of shards and getting the armor piece to put them in. OH AND HOW blizzard things these shards and armor = tier sets? Yea that’s pretty bad. How conveant abilities are very very unbalance. Some are very very powerful and others straight up garbage? Remember Ashen Hallow for holy pally for doing more damage than a dps when the tank play around their pulls around it? Rember Ravenous Frenzy for guardian in S2 in SL? pair that with Incar and every 3 min you are unkillable and you pull around that? Remember in S1 how moonkin is killing everyone in PVP with the press of a button? And how in torghast some spec have it way easier coz the torghast drops very overpower abilites for your spec to use?
Yes they sure have our interest.
Alright, so just to be clear. You are providing examples of things that were problems in the game at the start of shadowlands (2 expansions ago). Problems that were created before Wow had a mass exodus of players. A mass exodus which forced the devs to reevaluate their approach to dealing with community feedback.
Are you using a time machine and typing this from the year 2021? I’m not sure I’m following you. How exactly does any of this apply to now. You know today. This expansion where we do not have mount restrictions like we did in the maw. Where we don’t have covenants that lock us into a single choice. Where we have actual set bonuses on our sets. What exactly is your point?
If they keep this up then yea people is going to start leaving the game. Let’s not even talk about class imbalance,
1st they release the premium version of TWW with 3 days early access give lvl 70 to 75 players too much power coz scaling was way off. After 3 days they decided to nerf that power for people who didn’t pay the premium version giving people who paid extra cash a major advantage in leveling

They buff and then nerf and then buff and nerf devles. Being a group of 2 people actually makes the devles way easier than solo when devles was sold as a solo expereice then they nerf barin to be uesless. Also tuning was off. for some spec devles is a cakewalk for others is hell.

They also increase the ilvl drop from heroic dungeon but kept normal the dame but the ilvl require to do heroic dungeons and LFR is too high to achieve with just normal dungeon gear when you hit lvl 80 making it impossible to get into harder content. So you have to either grind world quest hoping it drops the gear you need in the right slot and then slowly upgrade it since well they nerf valor drop rate. Or you can spend gold in the AH or farm rep for rep gear.

The new dungeons is either boring or there is some sort of gimmick to it and makes it super annoying. Also some of them are full of bugs.

I’m going to be real with you. You don’t really seem like someone that wants to have an honest discussion. You come off to me as someone that wants to reach for examples to prove their point and I really don’t think I see value in dismantling 6 more things you perceive as a problem after you couldn’t even address the previous examples I already addressed.
It seems to me you want to ignore the fact that you nitpicked problems from a previous expansion to make a clumsy attempt at applying those examples to todays standards to some how make a point about “Blizzard not caring about the playerbase”. If you can’t engage with the examples I already addressed why would I take the time to address your new examples?
So what I will say is that I believe the developers are making changes for the long term health of the game. It’s very evident that sometimes making changes for the long term conflict with players interests in the present and sometimes even those changes are actually mistakes however the fact those changes are being made at all is evidence the devs are trying to make the game better.
Most people I believe should have the common sense to understand that if the developers truly did not care for the playerbase or about creating a game that appeals to their playerbase then they would simply not even attempt to fine things like scaling, valorstones, delves, etc rather they would just leave them in their original broken state and they would simply let players continuously participate in unintended gameplay loops that deteriorate the health of the game.

Also not sure why they removed any drop of VS from follower dungeons. I 100% do not want to play with other players. I came back only for the solo “stuff” so seems weird to include solo dungeons but then remove VS from them. But its blizz so…
