the problem is … that the same week they “fixed” gear upgrade costs for alts… they nerf the acquisition of them. what is the point of the gear upgrade discount if stones are now “harder” to get? they give you a perceived “bonus” to take it away in stealth . if thats not “odd” to you… than what is? if thats not “shady”… then… wow. disgusting practices to keep people subbed.

They nerfed a lot of things without mentioning it. I noticed today my favorite trinket was nerfed from reduced damage to now it lowers attack speed making it freaking worthless.

Unless we get the same total as before this change, this is vile.
Everyone’s starved of these things. At least if you’re trying to keep gear up-to-date.
I regularly empty my bag out. What’s gained is immediately spent.
I mean. If over geared people are speed running norms and heroics for stones, makes sense to nerf them.

Do explain how spending time farming trivial content for currencies makes the game worse for everyone. You don’t have to do it. You can sustain your upgrades with the other systems which are in place, easily farming valorstones through delves and world souls.
If people want to farm them by spamming first boss in Stonevault it’s their choice, it affects nobody and breaks nothing.

They can’t do that, all these new developers that haven’t been there for long are trying to “make an impression on the game” with convoluted nonsense like reagents having ranks(???), flight/valorstones and crests, and these new pvp marks for crafting pvp gear, and the world pvp currency, and all these other idiotic currencies and systems they keep pigeon-holing into the game.
Everything is so convoluted and un-necessary now, remember when they removed reforging because it was “too complicated”. 95% of this game is more complicated now than reforging ever was.

It was good the first two weeks, and then Blizzard decided the casual players need to get gigaf’d so they can keep getting those MAUs.
Pretty sure someone screwed something up by accident. Valorstones across the board are non-existent, and now crests are dropping in all the places valorstones were plentiful. I maxed out my crests last night just flying around in about a half hour.
Got no valorstones tho! (lol) They need a way to trade in crests for x20 valorstones or something.

Did a random heroic last night to see for myself, and while it is nerfed, it’s not just 15 from the last boss like someone said, it’s 30.
Still getting ripped off a bit, esp on the dungeons with >3 bosses, but still makes running a few chill (by comparison) heroics worth it.
I know there’s more from mythic, but there’s a daily lockout, more pressure to keep people standing in bad alive, and not as convenient/kind to just dip out if my baby wakes up, because of the lockout and the group having to find a replacement.

LOL blizzard acting in the best interest of players? Remember back in SL they refuse players to use mounts in the Maw till the very end? Remember they made us grind torghast and double down on it? Remember to change your covenant you have energy so you can’t keep changing it if you want to do different activiates? They sure got our backs!

I’m drowning in them now that M+ has opened. You get like 55ish per run + 25 if someone gains M+ score in that run.
Just wish I could send some to alts.

See that’s what I am saying. I quite literally burned them upgrading honor gear (it just scales pve ilvl, not pvp so quite literally pointless).
Ive been doing 2 to 3 bountiful a day. My weeklies and wq. Lfr. M+.
Just doing the basic things I always do, they are getting thrown at us.
Partly why I’m enjoying Cata classic. Just fly to the top of Grommash Hold in Org and buy stuff that is already upgraded right off the vendor using Justice, and valor points. Stuff that doesn’t drop from heroics anyways.

Example sure me on my alt. now my warlock is stuck on 560 too low to get into heroics and LFR and can only do normal. I was happily getting valor to upgrade some gear to pass that bump and start doing heroic dungeons and LFR but now is going to taking way longer to upgrade any gear. Doing World quest gives 30 crest so not a lot. So yes it affected my abilities to enjoy alts and maybe change them to my main one day.
Yea, so after reading this thread, I went and smashed a guy over the head with a valorstone and he dropped like a stack of loaves of banana bread. I’m nearly positive I accidently commited murder because of this thread.
Shopper beware, Not nerfed enough to assault people with, yet.
Boy I miss that. Not sure where the heck this upgrade nonsense came from.

they not only made us run torghast and doubled down on it…they turned around and used the participation metrics after forcing anyone that wanted to do any sort of end game to run it every week on every character to claim “torghast was a success”
