Why mmr crunch is bad for solo shuffle

This season they crunched mmr in solo shuffle which is all fine and dandy, but to this extent not so much. I was 3200 last season and I’m playing with people that peaked at 2200 last season. This makes no sense. Rets are killing themselves with judge dispel and taking sanc/never using it. Casters are just standing in place.

If they are going to do an mmr crunch at least make it so the people you heal is more strict. It shouldn’t be 300-400 below my cr. It makes the games very un fun. Like healers are really low shortage and I got to heal this?

rets were doing this at 3300

play a different bracket

how do you only have 1 loss in 2s?

I have 0 losses in 2s

Edit: he has way more than 1 loss lol

Built diff.

Yes I can play a different bracket and that’s fine. But as a majorly solo player it’s ridiculous that the system is like this.

When I played league/overwatch/csgo/valorant etc… yes some games you get stomped, but at least you play with players that are all around the same skill level, but not in this game. I was very excited to play again because I heard there was a solo mode, but this kills it.

I remember playing HoTS and being top 50 in that game playing with bronze players. It was a disaster and it killed the mode for a lot of people. Now the game is dead. Hopefully this doesn’t happen with solo shuffle, but it really feels like history is repeating itself.

Missing her (hots)

Games did get rough at one point when GMs and Silver players could be in the same match.

Playing with a wide spread of players makes it very stressful for healers especially. It’s very hard to predict if that player will use defensives, or even know how an rsham heals, or where they’ll position etc. I just want the lobby to be somewhat consistent so I’m not trying to guess what the heck completely random players will do.

Yes I miss it too. I loved it. Most of the time you would play with plat/diamond players, but every once in awhile you get paired with a bronze a master and a diamond/plat vs 5 masters/diamond mix. It was the worst experience. You were at the whim of one person deciding to throw or not.

It got better for awhile, but oh man. That was some frustration.

Silently picks Varian, goes twin blade then mercs/splits all game. It got so bad at one point that I had to log into 3 accounts at once just to finish my placements.

xD. I was a Sonya main. But played everything.

Also some people like Srey And United terror used to abuse it so much. They would q with someone on a low mmr alt and just stomp and gain freelo. How he maintained #1 for so long.

I think yoda would do it too with that korean dude.

Yeah, I just played whatever offlane seemed the least troll/feed and would clear waves. It was a cozy time. :dracthyr_love_animated: Had so much more fun than in League and am still sad that it kind of croaked.
