Why merge with Activision instead of Bethesda?

My question is as follows, why Activision instead of Bethesda? Something Bethesda does best at is voice acting, story and characters that Bethesda makes the fanbase fall in love with. Activision on the other hand has created a problem that Blizzard Ent. never had to begin with.

We playing the same Bethesda games?

Because corporate mergers are more complicated than that?

Besides, maybe they were like “eww, Maryland”

Because with sixteen times the detail, Bethesda just works. Why would they need WoW?

Vivendi was Blizzard’s original publisher, and they were bought out by Activision. The two companies entered into a partnership.

Have you played ESO? lol
I love it but the money grubbing is worse than driving down town with 8 panhandlers per street corner, lol

I have but not very long. It’s a hit or miss for me. WoW just needs some changes to their story, characters and voice acting and thats pretty much it. Bethesda never got into trouble with the law which is why I think Bethesda would be better.

Because Bethesda isn’t stupid enough to ally themselves with a company doing less than them.

Bethesda has a specific way they do things ands it’s worked for the most part. The last thing i need is my favorite game company getting screwed over.

The Bethesda games I’ve played had such poor voice acting I think it was brilliant!

Cause Activision bought them and Bethesda didn’t.

It’s not complicated.

That depends on how comfortable with your games needing mods to fix them.

I love Skyrim and Fallout 4… but their objectively broken games.

Looks at EA-Bioware’s SWTOR with them monetizing extra actionbars and back at you. :eyes:

Ah, so you want even MOAR bugs and things that don’t work.

Too be fair thats only for free to players. Subs get it all in one. Better to be a sub honestly.

Still, that move to put an actionbar behind a paywall is just so… EA. :face_vomiting:

I dunno… I mean it’s not like Bethesda has never found a way to totally mess up a title before… right?

Same… but any and all good will and trust in them was shattered (for me) when… Fallout 76 happened.

To be fair… I also lost all good will towards Project CD when they released that Cyberpunk mess.

Well i mean blizz kinda does something similar with thier free to play mode but yeah i get you.

While it is typical EA, f2p isn’t really designed to be the norm, at least for swtor. Which is why i laugh at the people in gen chat complaining about being limited lol. Hell if i wasnt a sub I wouldn’t have the 2 billion plus and climbing credits that I do have lol.

Thats fair. For me personally i couldn’t fault Bethesda for one bad game when they’ve had a history of great ones.
