Why Lightforged Draenei Shadow Priests Make Sense

If you enter the Lightforged Draenei starting area and head downstairs, you will see a fancy thingamajig called “The Netherlight Crucible”, which used to do stuff back in Legion but these days it’s just sitting there.

And crucially, the Netherlight Crucible uses the power of the Void.

So yeah, there’s a big source of Void Power right in the spaceship where the Lightforged Draenei live.

If any of them were to sit on the wrong side of the crucible, they would be exposed to the power of the Void, and that is how you get Lightforged Draenei Shadow Priests.

A balance in all things. Even as fighters of the light Draenei respect the zen that balances the cosmos.

The funny thing to me is that whenever there’s a shadow priest that actually gets characterized and isn’t just a literally faceless mook for us to beat up, they’re almost always depicted as being totally insane. Is that just a cop-out on Blizzard’s part or is it actually not possible to be a ‘sane’ shadow priest? Is that just part of the void being counterpart to the light? Even though there are plenty of adherents to the light that I’d label as crazy…

sanity is a point of view maybe
void has many points of view

I imagine you can’t, seeing as insanity is the Shadow Priest’s resource.
