Why LGBT representation in games matters:

But you have equal representation. Considering the LGBT community makes up about 3% of the WORLD population, I would say having one LGBT character IS “equal representation”.

Can I roll an orc and be recognized as a human so I can get the free pvp trinket? That would be kool

I say give them a LGBTQ+ covenant like they are asking. Then we can hear them complain that they have been intentionally segregated and need to have LGBTQ+ representation in ALL covenants because it is too exclusive otherwise.

Wonder when people will wake up to the agenda and stop being useful idiots.

100% Agree with you on this, there will always be a “New” reason to complain, wish everyone could just play the game.

one thing in that video that strikes me as odd
i’m a traditional vue kinda guy i just see people as people i dony put you in to a sub class just because you want to identify as lgbt

Good thing the game isn’t “life”.

Then why force this, “game.” to mirror your, “life.”

Blizzard does it for one, they have to do it for all, every marginalized group of people, minorities, different religious groups, ect. before long it won’t be World of Warcraft, it will be, “World of VirtuesignalingbecauseitgivestheimpressionthatIamagoodpersonCraft.”

Yeah, why wouldn’t I? Add more LGBTQ characters into the lore. Don’t retcon existing characters that some people probably already identify with.

Up until last week, there was still a ban on transgender people from entering the military. In many States, it’s still legal for private businesses to discriminate against LGBTQ+ people by choosing not to hire them for their gender, sexuality, etc., so this is fundamentally wrong.

This has nothing to do with how much they are represented in other forms of media. It has everything to do with how little representation there is in WoW, and how these discussions will still be made until people can effectively stop freaking out over the sight of threads that ask for more.

Considering how many people are losing their minds at threads asking for more representation, I would say it’s relatively important.

The thing is, everyone keeps saying “and that’s for straight people, too” and yet throughout all my time playing this game, I’ve never heard people crying with Aggra and Thrall, Durotan and Draka, Arthas and Jaina, Malfurion and Tyrande, Illidan and Tyrande, and so forth like I do when anyone even mentions LGBTQ+ relationships. Maybe that’s because there’s a double standard that people don’t want to recognize, otherwise they would have to come to terms with their bigotry.

But they still exist. That’s literally the whole point. I don’t understand what’s difficult to comprehend about this. Nobody is asking for LGBTQ+ characters to be the status quo or as common as heterosexual relationships.

I mean, yes? That’s called heteronormativity, I.E. the belief that attraction to the opposite sex is the default preference of sexual orientations. It would be really strange for a straight person to say that because it’s often assumed by most people that you’re attracted to the opposite sex. It’s partially the reason why we need LGBTQ+ relationships.

Fixed this for you. I’m just clarifying that this has nothing to do with WoW and everything to do with cultural degradation.

It is. It’s called an instinctual drive to reproduce.

Most ppl don’t go around worrying about whom is attracted to whom
Most don’t care, it’s none of my business.

Cultural degradation is the avoidance of cultures and subcultures simply because you don’t agree with it.

Okay, bigot.

Cool.

I don’t care that you don’t care.

Science is bigoted says the social justice critic. I think we can move along now. It’s obvious where this is going.

When people resort to terms like bigot because they have nothing else to refute an assertion it’s called failure.

Science also says gender is nonbinary. What’s your point?

No it’s more like being fed up with bigotry, but go off, hun.

Science also says that diagnoses and prognosis vary wildly between the sexes. Meaning that approaching a trans woman as a woman is not only wrong but also harmful to their chances of survival and recovery.

I always wonder how 4% of the population can be so loud and intrusive into everyone’s day to day lives. LGBT isn’t something new but you sure didn’t see it pushed in your face back in the 70’s when everyone seemed to coexist a lot better then now. I thought our Country was founded on a majority rule premise. I have no problem with what you do on your time its when your bubble starts spreading into my bubble that I have an issue.

This was a horribly cited, poorly produced/written scholarly article that was published by Breitbart pundits because they wanted to debunk gender as a nonbinary construct.

But sure.

Anyways, toodles~

This is the reality of the situation. Acceptance has been made, “our” space has been redesigned with their wellbeing in mind, and now they want it segregated to push everyone else into their own little pockets. It’s basic redefinition of what bigotry is so that textbook bigotry can be employed without judgement.

The 70s…you mean during the time when the same sex marriage movement started while the media and the church propagated propaganda and videos calling gay people mentally unstable individuals that you should be scared of?

Where’s the lie
