nothing about the existence of BGs implies that we need to make dungeons work the same way. in fact, one could say having them work differently is beneficial for the sake of variety.
world pvp to me is meeting that jerk undead rogue on the road and doing a 1v1 with him. or meeting a dwarf fighting a troll mage and healing the dwarf right before he dies. thatâs whatâs fun to me. this is the spirit of classic. and it still happens, at least on SoM, quite a bit.
Thatâs because there are no flying mounts in classic/som
Iâve gotten ganked, been saved by the dungeon queue only to have the same person kill me after I left the dungeon half an hour later.
LFD doesnât kill wpvpâŚit only delays it.
we shouldnât be catering Wrath of the Lich King to classic era or SoM players that wont even touch it. lets be real.
Wrath should be as it was LFG, heirlooms and all. If people donât like it, donât use it. Let the people who want to use it use it like it was back then. Keep WOTLK the way it was, it was the best game they made. Look what changes did to the game from listening to the wrong people.
Then disable it on pvp realms. But sorry to tell yo, wpvp hasnât really been a thing since vanilla/classic. Eliminating lfd will not bring that back.
If you play on a server thatâs heavily 1 sided wpvp isnât a thing but if itâs balanced itâs huge, luckily Grobbulus exist and can attest to that.

Nah, CRZ killed server identity.
I donât think two servers being merged would affect that.

I think you like your artificial pve server and would be upset if you started getting ganked again.
Also, I think your Classic experience argument is nonsense since you now have HvH bgs. That wasnât classic but it was implemented to fix a problem Horde created.

Let me just ask you this, if you did merge 2 servers for this purpose, two super servers by the way, how would that affect the in game economies for those servers? Resources are already strained as they are and now you are asking for two servers to split those resources. So do you combine auction houses too then? What do you think would happen to these servers, because people purposely migrated to these servers so that they could heavily favor their faction. Do you not think this same process would happen again? Blizzard would be for it do the sudden income of transfers.
What are you against RDF for? So that you would see more people out in the world? What do you think will happen with a non RDF group compared to a group that is put together through GBB. Instead of being ported to the instance while doing dailies or some other outdoor activity. You are sitting in a city waiting for the group, and then you fly through to the dungeon portal anyways, ignoring every player. One gives you more time to get more done and the other is just a waste of time waiting for a group to form in a major city.
RDF was a good feature. If you donât want it stick to SoM or TBC servers, where you get exactly what you want.
There can be small changes to RDF, like taking away current emblem reward and limiting the amount of heroics you can do to one each a day. I think those would be fine, but the current state of finding groups is not great and the fact they are trying to carry that on to WotLK is not great either.

I did not insult you, I asked you a genuine question out of concern because a player with your beliefs mustâve been dropped when they were young.
Iâm not against RDF or LFD so long as players arenât teleported to the dungeon, players do not just afk and fly straight into the dungeon. The majority usually stop to summon and that is where wpvp comes in, sorry you donât enjoy wpvp but I do.
edit: just gotta say PvE players are so selfish and only think about themselves, 90% of the game is catered for them and they canât even let us have our 10% of wpvp. They wanna take it all away and if they were in charge they probably would.

Seeing that you canât answer it tells me what I need to know.
The fact that you donât see it as trying to insult someone, tells me all I need. Youâre an awful advocate for your cause. If anything you turn people away and lose chances of being convincing to other people.
Almost no solution blizzard can implement will work with how things are currently setup.
Iâve personally been an advocate of taking away the pvp/pve realms designation and implementing warmode into classic. This would be a good solution for server imbalance imo and people would actually be doing what they want. Warmode could incentives people by offering extra honor and perhaps daily pvp rewards.
If you just keep being insulting and combative, then all you will eventually hear back is your echo.
