So barbed shot is getting a 10% damage nerf and im trying to figure out why? what is the literal point of this? does blizzard just hate hunters now?

- Barbed Shot damage is now affected by Bestial Wrath.
- Barbed Shot damage reduced by 10%.
- Developers’ notes: We are fixing a bug that caused Bestial Wrath to not affect Barbed Shot damage, and lowering the base damage of Barbed Shot to keep overall damage roughly unchanged.

Yes it a known fact Blizzard hate the creation of the hunter class. To be happy all you need to do is re-roll and you will have rainbow and sprinkle all day long.

As far as I know, hunter was the last class to be created when this game first came out.
Created last does not mean hated.
I don’t really get the change. Just seems like a change for change sake if they’re just trying to keep dps the same. It provides no benefit

My cousin’s friend sister boyfriend use to work for Blizzard and he was on the WOW alpha team.
What you heard or read is incorrect because my source is legit. I also notice you on a shaman posting on a hunter forum; which either mean you was smart enough to re-roll (great) or thinking of swapping into a hunter (bad decision).

It bothers me this dot is not effected by any stat. Crit, haste, mastery, everything seems to be useless. Make this dot like the rest of the dots in the game and fine I will eat the 10% nerf. Otherwise wtf?

So they buff BM just to Nerf BM. I read what’s going to happen and it still doesn’t make sense to me.
If the damage is unchanged then why change it at all. I feel like they always got to mess with something.
I have little faith in Blizz as it stands. I wouldn’t be surprised if the 10% nerf goes through and the benefits from BW are not good enough and comes as an overall dps loss until next xpac.

Barbed shot is effected by both vers and agility.

Duh, obviously I know that. It still needs to work like every other dot in the game however.

I just looked outside, the sky is clearly 6 inches lower…the sky is falling!!!
Because they were fixing a bug. Fixing this bug would have made the tuning higher than intended. So with the fix minus the 10 percent the damage is roughly the same but now the ability is acting as intended.
