Why it is hypocritical to call Sylvanas evil

Yes, yes, let it flow through you.

Like when she forced them to go to Northrend despite the fact that they werent ready and said she’d cut all aid off to them if they didnt? Definitely what BFFs do.

I think it’s very unique. It was well written at least in its early stages.

It’s just a game dude

I’m going to immediately forget as soon i leave this thread, so no, i won’t mark your words and i won’t mark them well. You mark them.

I can’t relate to a person who killed a bunch of people while burning down or plaguing cities.

Cause that’s totally comparable to killing a bunch of people while burning down or plaguing cities. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

The reason why i ditched my guild (this is a long time ago mind you), was i didn’t felt like i belong there atfer a short while of joining it, and the people there don’t seem to like me that much, so what’s the sense in staying? Atfer i left, i just found another guild that accepted me nicely, and that’s when i also started raiding above LFR back in MoP with Flex Mode. Mind you, this was the second time it happened as it’s done 3 times.

The first time was it was a dead guild i was in. The Third was that the raiding scene in the guild died and i didn’t really have an incentive to stay much and just decided to permanently move to my friend’s guild.

I fail to see how this makes anymore immortal for leaving a guild, i would wager this scenario that it’s pretty common.

Can’t relate to this either.

I’m pretty sure killing a bunch of people is more immortal then taking somebody’s money from your spouse. Not all immortality-ness are equal, or sins if you will.

As for ditching the guild, how is it immortal exactly?

Well i can respect that. :+1:

I love me a good villain in a story, them being evil, having complex motivations and generally being entertaining to watch or intimidating, when the writing allows it.

Which is honestly the one issue i have with WoW’s Major Villains these days in general; when the writing does a complete 180 backflip into “their good now, so that means you forget all the bad stuff they did”. That what killed Grom and Illidan for me and that’s one (major) reason why i’m not supporting Slyvanas.

You realize she was NEVER a blood elf right?

High elf yes. Blood elf no. Even her sisters in the comics comment on the unsuitability of blood elves.

I support her BECAUSE she is evil, not despite it. Though as a tireless protector of the living I may have to re-evaluate that support. Wait, she is also a forsaken undead, which means she is also a tireless protector of the living!

We will never forget, the Wrathgate. I think we all know who was really behind that…

I can appreciate that. Nothing wrong with liking the villain of the story. I hear some folks even like Luke Skywalker even though him and the rebel scum were trying to upset the stability of the universe.

Sylvanas is evil, and I will enjoy murdering her.

There’s no need to beat around the bush. Blizzard has explicitly stated that she was responsible for that event.

“I’ve heard these discussions on the internet about ‘she’s going off the rails’, but is she? I’ve been writing Sylvanas personally since 2006, and this is pretty much - the Wrathgate and the Blight and the Forsaken - in character. Those were all under Sylvanas’ orders. What we’re seeing now is an escalation of the plans Sylvanas has, clearly, and we’re in the middle of that.”

A connection that she was willing to exploit to her advantage.

Well dang, I was just trolling, didnt know I was actually being accurate.

Bruh just no

You’re the one who’s hypocritical, having started a thread titled “Be nice to each other during this time” in March, and then turning around and accusing people you don’t know of “doing shameful things” in real life because they dislike a fictional character.

Sylvannas is evil her actions show this. As soon as Danuser gets over his waifu. Or Actv decides to replace him. Maybe we can finally kill her off for good. I am also sure none here have committed genocide of a race. If you seen alot of the forsaken story. Alot of them hate the living. There sorta like the triple K in wow. They do borrow stuff from WW2 history with experimenting on captives. Along with torture and other means. Just like history, she started out small and gained control over an entire faction. Convincing them that they needed to attack another race out of fear of a potential threat. Horde side always are the ones that provoke the conflict. Alliance had Varian but I am sure Danuser and others kept him from doing anything. But we see Garosh and Sylvannas both fire the first shot. Sylvannas provoked Genn by attacking his city. Gilneans wouldn’t even be apart of the alliance if she hadnt have acted. Any time alliance side seems to have a developing character that pushes back. They then are written off on some other quest or journey. Like with Tyrande, I am sure they won’t let her do anything to the horde in shadowlands. Alliance characters only get to move so far, just enough to string the players along to hold onto sub money. Then also we are told by Danuser that what happens in the books is cannon. Meaning the game and books are two seperate realities. Making the books worthless at this point to follow. Let’s also not forget all the retcon this narrative team loves to enjoy doing. When they can’t explain things or when there out of ideas.
After all the things Sylvannas has done, especially with the raising of the night elves. Then have them join willingly. At this point no retcon or anything they try to throw or explain will work. Players are tired of retcons. Even the warbringers video shows how evil she is. I am sure theres others out there trying to defend other dictators actions.

The only thing OP’s essay has made me think about - is that it’s okay to kill Sylvanas and her loyalists without regret, because she’d do the same to me and my friends.

I literally do not think about any of your posts because I’m convinced you’re either a troll or someone who really lacks the ability to get over something.

I can never decide whether these posts are bad trolling, bad RP, or just bad morals. Well, they’re bad anyhow.
