Why is voidwalker so weak.

This is a tank, blizz. It should not be needing non stop healing just because i pulled 3 garbage mobs. Not to mention it's the only pet with AoE, and often times it just randomly dies to stuff in dungeons.

WTF are you doing using your Voidwalker in dungeons?

You can disable the taunt and use it in dungeons. It's fine. DPS from pets for locks is negligible.

Yes deffinately, as it stands it's rather useless to use the voidwalker except to sacrifice for the buff. This demon is rather pathetic right now to actually have him summoned. Though in dungeons there is always a better demon to use then your voidwalker, but even solo out in the world this demon is pretty weak, where it's actually ment to be used.

If this is a PvP concern, they can make it weaker to PvP damage without making it useless in PvE. Or give it a buff our in the world that drops off in instances since this demon is really for open world content.

First, pets are not meant to be used as tank in dungeon. No exception.
Second, all tanks require healing, pet tanks much more so, otherwise no one would be rolling tank, and by that extension, there is no need for tank role in dungeon/raid, just beef up the pet and you're good to go.
It would be nice if I did not have to summon 3-5 Voidwalkers for tough rare to kill is solo.

Example: fighting a big rex monster I have a great first 30 seconds, it gets down to half hp, my void walker dies from damage. Then the red chases after me and stomps on me. I find a moment to resuming the Voidwalkers and keep running until it has agrro. This time I have no cds on a single target. Shard regeneration is lacking. I cast 2-3 Chas bolts and the void walker dies again. I have to plan to resummon by only casting incinerate and immolate on a single target such that ic can cast 2-3 chaos bolts and have a shard on the ready for my voidwalker resummon. If the stars do not align I will have half a shard when my demon dies and I will be running in circles trying to out run this monster while the shard builds. The monster stomps me again as I try to resummon the voidwalker, I’ll cast my defensive cds. Get a voidwalker cast off, now I am at 20% health.

This is the worst part. I am 20% health and the rare is 20% health. His health is equal to 6-9 chaos bolts. I will only get about 3 off before I have to resummon. At this point it’s a random chance of winning the fight and possibly just wasted a few minutes fighting to die a horrible death and run back.

I don’t need this guy to do a lot of damage, just enough to keep aggro and enough Health/mitigation that I can use it on world content reliably. PLEASE BLIZZARD! This will benefit the world questing warlocks so much with little damage to raids because we don’t use voidwalker in raid and rarely in dungeons.

I suppose, but its certainly not a great choice to use as dungeon DPS. /shrug

I'm pretty sure he is talking about when soloing stuff out in the world...

I haven't gotten terribly far with my lock yet, just a few levels, but I haven't noticed any issues. My little blueberry is as tough as ever.
I haven't used Voidwalker in so long, I forgot he existed to be honest.

Now I just summon my Fel Hunter and sack him for the interrupt.
I have used my blueberry to solo every elite 3 player quest mob so far

I think he is doing alright

It's literally easier to summon a new one at full hp than try and heal one up and off yourself with it.

Using it for aoe because blizz killed aff aoe? It's literally the only pet with AoE damage.

lol no.
Warlock pets damage was normalized across the board with the exception of the Fel Guard. So as long as you turn off the taunt the Voidwalker does the exact same damage as Fel Hunter or Succubus. The only benefit to swapping is for sacrifice.

My Fel Guard gets wrecked too. Any more than 2-3 trash mobs and unless I spam heal him he's gone. Then have to re-summon him because it's faster than healing him to full. Lord forbid he takes any magic or AOE damage.
The really question is “why do you call??”

Maybe try demonology? I like the new talents. Summon all the imps.

Without the Demon Skin talent our tanking pets take too much damage.

It's just a pitty that I really love Burning Rush in the same row...
I want to know why you put the wrong punctuation in your title, OP.

I think I love you lmfao

I only feel like he cant get or keep aggro from me. So it's a bit frustrating trying to solo out in the world.
