Why is unlocking cross realm grouping for Mythic even a thing?

Are Blizzard afraid that a random PUG group will somehow beat the likes of Method to World First?

Considering they are no longer giving importance to Server Firsts and other stuff like that, cross realm Mythic could be unlocked on Day One.

Healthwise ? yeah

There will be that one or many thick headed dudes that would do a 36 hour marathon pugging Mythic to beat Method

The same reason lockout ID Is still a thing. Folks holding on to the last bit of gatekeeping content they have.

This made me laugh more than I expected

I don’t really mind the lockout ID as they seem to be keeping it for the hardest content. But unlocking it shouldn’t take 100 Alliance and Horde guilds.

I say let them. I would love to see the competition

There’s a lot of things that are locked for no real reason. This is one of them.

I would legit 100% love to see a pug group beat method or limit to a world first.

I say keep it, it’ll be the only thing that might finally force Blizzard to do something when the rest of the top Alliance guilds move to the Horde.

Then that would be the final bullet as to why anyone would need to join a guild. The game overall has been about Queues and the Group Finder. It needs to reform its sense of community once again in my opinion.

if you don’t know what would happen if it wasn’t locked then I don’t think you need to know

Nope. That shouldn’t happen.

So as an Alliance player I can constantly point to the 90-10 Horde-Alliance ratio in Hall of Fame for my Horde bias posts.

Whether they could or couldn’t they could always just unlock it as soon as the world first race is over?

I think the sole purpose is to save the “realm first” achievements. I think those still exist.

Otherwise I see no reason for the restriction.
