It feels like most other knockbacks send you flying like halfway across the map, while Typhoon only pushes you back a few feet. And unlike most other knockbacks, Typhoon only works in a frontal cone instead of being omnidirectional. On Eye of the Storm, a Shaman can knock you off the map from basically any location in mid, but the enemy needs to be standing basically on the edge if you want to knock them off the map with Typhoon.
I wish it didnt even knock em back. I’d prefer a knock up.
Or at least a choice node to knock them up similar to thunderstorm.
Being able to knock them back far (like Thunderstorm and Blast Wave) is very useful in EotS and AV. I don’t get why Druid’s knockback is not only weaker, but also only works on enemies right in front of you
Not all spells of the same type are equal. They are balanced against the class kit as a whole.
maybe because you can use in stealth in cat form, instead of seeing the shaman is running to you for use his knockback
I was going to post a complaint a few months ago but quickly realised its probably based on the other ‘things’ the class can do.
But nevertheless, it’s pathetic in PvP don’t waste your points on it.
Im considering picking it up for Mythics though as it wont knock the opponent into other mobs and its a decent ‘oh sht mobs are coming for me for some reason’ ability.
To be honest even going all the way back to wrath when it was added to the game it has never been a great spell. It was just better than nothing at the time.
It’s main use is interrupting casts in m+
It’s pretty essential. I’d prefer a knock up for this reason as it won’t displace the pack and make aoe more difficult.
Kul Tiran punch confirmed to knock people further than a typhoon. Actual gods.
It use to do good damage, it should interrupt AND knock up AND do damage IMO.
