why does blizzard don’t use its own forums for communication? like not long ago we had an issue with servers and twitter/X gets an update WTF if blizzard want us to stop using the forums just let us know and we will move our complains to twitterX

There is an official forum, run by blizzard, right here. This is where it should be.

I agree…but to be fair, very few people use the forums.
However, when they do post on the forums it gets aggregated to multiple WoW-related websites very quickly. So regardless if this is the first place they post, they should still definitely post something here.

I have said for yes why can’t they post here on these forums with important info like realms all sudden going down…but nope those techs love their twitter or whatever it is now…

You can sockpuppet easily with alt army, that’s why Blizzard doesn’t respond here, they are aware of the forum functionality.

I would imagine they use X so they don’t have to be the ones to monitor and moderate X users.
Basically, they’re lazy.

The Official forums used to be a completely unmoderated cesspool but while not perfect that’s improved.
Meanwhile “X” has become a completely unmoderated cesspool.
Time to use your own communication channels again, Blizz.

They started abandoning the forums back in Cataclysm when they faced their first real backlash. That’s when the PR spinners started taking over from dev to player communication. By the end of Pandaria the retreat was almost total.

Couldn’t pay me to get on Tweetland. Though you’re right, why we don’t see more interactions here - well, I kinda get the why, we can be toxic, but can’t be as bad as that place. We have some decent discussions in-between the noxious. We really could use the communication here. Makes sense.

Despite Elon Musk’s efforts to ruin it, Twitter is still better than the forums and there are prob more WoW players on Twitter than the forums
My understanding is #'s wise there are more Warcrafters in Facebook than any other single plaform (except possibly here)
