Because it sounds like a clap of thunder.

To give the real, ungoofy answer in an obviously silly thread.

Because people thought the magicless Warrior class summoning lightning was weird, I guess.

I’ve honestly never been clear on how I can stomp so hard it generates lightning.

Why are voidwalkers called that when they have no legs…
Blizzard has a lot of questionable things they have named.

I have no idea. I just roll with it.

Okay that is an amusing mental image.

Because you smack your thunder thighs together making a clap clap sound.

Voidfloaters?

The clap of your thunder is so loud it keeps stunning the people around you.

Every Warrior secretly wants to be a Tauren with War Stomp.

Its the static build-up from your woolen undergarments rubbing against all that plate steel.

Stomping your foot is a discharge mechanic, so your hair doesn’t get all frizzy.

Damn right shes a babe.

Would be cool if warrior pounded sword against shield to generate the Thunderclap visual!

I once thunder clapped in middle school while doing the cha-cha slide. Be careful with the right foot two stomps.
