They still have sod items in era? I thought they removed them or some other bug?
not sure what happened to this poor mage… I just did some enchants for him and his gear was literally grey…
Waiting for the blue post saying this is a QoL feature reducing visual clutter.
Clearly a part of all these intended changes.
I know from a few days ago the armor with broken pixels were SoD gear drops. Was the gear you enchanted something unusual? Not sure if you remember or not, Im just curious if they removed the items.
looked like Standard T2 Netherwind on inspection.
did the issue persist after a /reload?
Yes, and its universal. Not just my client. I asked the mage if he could see that his gear was grey and he said yes; he is kinda annoyed by it also.
Maybe they removed it then. Ive been gone all week for work and will be gone for a few months, I just hope when I come back all this crap Im reading about is fixed.
Same man, I really do hope they fix all these mistakes; because that’s what it really is.
SoD is going to be the baseline for WoW now watch and see.
Ironic since its a game that cant even hold onto its playerbase.
How do you gauge the player base though? There are four versions of WoW right now and you are subbed to all of them.
They just have to ship out a new patch to one of the established branches and it’ll attract enough to keep the cash shop open for all time.
Aggrend is radio silent on twitter. If they just admitted it was a screw up they would save a lot more face imo. People mess up, we are human. But to twist mistakes into a lie that this was all intended really puts a bad taste in my mouth.
Yea apparently this has been an issue since the patch. Clearly intended!
hahaha, if only there had been a way that made it easy to make wild changes to SoD while keeping Era stable
but the more I think about it, perhaps you are correct that in the long-term, the current approach will be better, I am still not really sure.
My suspicion is that the changes were to deal with bots. The switch to Cata client code simplifies the process of dealing with botting and parsing for different “services.”
I know you’re trying to dig here but I’m not gonna bite. At this point it’s a crapshoot either way with how Blizzard is approaching things. I cannot, for the life of me, understand their intentions and I really dislike that I question their honesty with statements they’ve made surrounding the latest wash of Era changes.
I was half joking when I said “clearly intended” above. Apparently instead of acknowleding mistakes and letting us know what the priority on a fix is, they’ll just tell us after the fact that they intended to do this all along.
Whether or not it’s true, the way it’s presented makes it all look kinda suspect.
