Why is there timewalking every week?

Because of the turbulent timeways event (on the in game calendar), it’ll be for 5 weeks straight

Worth noting:

  • Heroic raid reward for 5 time walking dungeons (or raid bosses?)

  • heroic raid reward + chance of mount or pet for killing last boss of time walking raid

  • stacking xp buff for running consecutive tw dungeons

  • if you had started on week 1 there’s an ugly sandy ray mount for running 4 (?) tw dungeons per week for all 5 weeks

I got all worried about missing it, took one look at it and was like “oh nevermind…” lol. That thing is beyond hideous

It’s your saying please get rid of it. I make a forum thread complaining there is timewalking every week. No one will ever be happy.

You need to run 4 tw a week for the named buff and to complete the achievement you need to do that 5 times. If you’re starting now, you’ll get like 3 and it will sit unfinished until such a time that the event returns and you do it twice more

After the first 4 timewalking dungeons on a single toon to get the full mastery of timeways 30% buff, that particular toon with can refresh the buff by doing 1 timewalking dungeon the following week (until the buff falls off).

I’m at 3/5 weeks towards completion by doing timewalking dungeons on my hunter. I did 4 timewalking dungeons on him the first week and 1-2 timewalking dungeons each week for the next 2 weeks. The mastery of timeways buff was refreshed on my hunter after completing the 1st timewalking dungeon I did last week and this week since he already had the mastery of timeways buff from the previous week.

If you have the buff from previous week, you only need do to 1 timewalking dungeon

It’s an achievement. The event will return so you’ll be able to continue earning towards it once it comes back.

Turbulent timeways event is nice as it gives heroic raid loot but it does also seem to happen at the tail end of a season so…is this a sign 10.2 will be coming our way when the timeways event ends? Quietly hoping to get the heroic two hand sword from the event on one of my people who can use it… idk nothing’s more intimidating than a tauren wielding a huge blade lol
