Why is there such a huge disparity with the dps

like what??? the difference between survival and MM is huge what gives?

The difference between the highest to lowest is huge what the

Also to the people wondering why zone in to one boss.

For one Mythic/normal/heroic Hungering is a pure single target fight.

secondly why max filter?

Because max is where the best of the best parses are and I trust those more than parses at around 95

I also would put artifcer on here but not a lot of people have killed it yet so.

Becoz the Best Hunters HATES MELEE. We can just tell that the Best Hunter Players are MM’s on Shadowlands.

Blizzard appears to be extremely slow and cautious responding to DPS differences. Likely because people like to complain that they ‘have to reroll’ when another class beats them on meters after a tuning change.

Also yes, there will be bias because the more competitive players tend to reroll to flavor of the month.

Op, are you new to the game?

well they should just play a class they want to instead of FoTM. no one to blame but themself, ultimately being the class at the top of DPS ranks is just to get a nerf eventually.

Lack of QA has led to this imbalance.

They intend for players to reroll every patch to keep up with FOTM.

I work as game QA (not for Blizzard granted) - game balance is something that QA rarely does. QA is focused on finding bugs. It is possible that bug fixing took away time from Blizzard to do better balance tuning.

Because they have to balance 36 specs for multiple types of content and with additional things like covenants thrown in. Yes, they absolutely should focus more on it, but it’s still a hard thing to do.

The game will never be balanced. By flipping the classes around, players will endlessly chase the new metas. It’s not about unable to… it’s about won’t because it will hurt their profits.

Why did you filter for mythic hungering lol

And on top of that you picked max percentile which is just filled of people literally just cheesing for parses

m hungering is a pure single target fight. thats why.

YES! All others are beneath me!

imagine not being a member of the 6000 club. also, props to druids for having 2 specs with elite membership.

if this chart shows us anything, it’s that warriors need some lovin’.

Or rather, they intend for players to purchase character boosts to keep up with the FOTM.

And then purchase tokens to pay for runs to keep up with the rat race.

Garden variety paranoia aside, I’ve often wondered if and how Blizzard benefits from class imbalance because it sure seems to be their consistent forte over the years.

Reroll AND boost. All about normalizing spending lots of extra money to get even less back.

why did you just pick one boss? also why max percentile which gives you less than 300 records for some of those

this is a lot better indication of the true disparity

What exactly are they measuring there? Are all those class specs what ilvl? Is that simulated unreal numbers or is that what everyone is really doing?

If those numbers are actual numbers from people in raids. In the past that had happened and Blizzard came right out and said the people playing that spec were misinformed on playing their spec. Could be rotation, stat weights, environment, or like a couple people mentioned the good hunters are not playing survival.

edit: to be polite I should clarify, not as many good hunters are playing survival.

If you look at individual values, they are not that different overall unless you’re comparing #1 to the very last.

They are overall nearby each other in terms of actual value #'s though.
