I write what I know. I would never write a fully fleshed out LGBTQ+ character because I don’t know an LGBTQ+ experience. I have “friends” that are homosexual, but that’s not enough for me to write a character about it. I put friends in quotes because apparently I can’t be friends with people now for some reason in 2022.
You’re supposed to write what you know to make things feel authentic.
If you want representation, make something. Be the representation you’re looking for. But please don’t FORCE people to read what you write like I see done at some libraries in my community. It’s very cringe and if you’re talking about sexuality with my child I will have a few words to say to you.

They did a great job with the stag and unicorn in Shadowlands, they can do something similar and there’s nothing “token” about that.
Blizzard does care but there’s a lot of responses on here that are bigoted and or homophobic. I’m sure Blizzard can see this and I hope they do the right thing such as ignoring those types of people and continuing with more inclusion.

Nothing is set in stone until it happens. The writers and game producers said a lot of things in the past that don’t reflect the game today.

Keep in mind that if you are that upset about this game no one is forcing you to stay here an play. You can always go find another one that fits your restrictive political demands.

I’m bi and don’t really understand this. What do you want, a couple of gay NPCs holding hands outside the inn in Westfall? What does that get you? The same quest you get now, that’s what. We aren’t supposed to care about who the NPCs are with. It just doesn’t matter as there aren’t that many married couple in game anyway. However, if you want your male toon to marry another player’s male toon (or female/female), you can do that already in RP.

Don’t worry, the OP actually doesn’t want anything of the sort. The entire schtick of this group (supposedly a group, and not just one person so dedicated to trolling that they’d make multiple accounts and use VPNs) is flooding the forum with disingenuous questions designed to make the LGBTQ+ community look either demanding and unreasonable, or at the very least prop up convenient strawmen to let the bigots and phobes in the community feel validated that people are constantly trying to “put politics in the game” or “push their lifestyles on us”.
They’ll play innocent or not respond, if they’re feeling especially emboldened today they’ll play the oblivious victim, but they wouldn’t have named their throwaway already-deleted fresh DK character that name if they hadn’t intended to troll.
They’ve been asked to stop, many times, by people being harmed by the rabble-rabble that they stir up, people in the communities that they claim to be a part of. The level of dedication that they, singular or plural, show to keeping up the bit is truly boggling. They’re fully comfortable in the corner that the mods can’t seem to reach, and they’ve set up shop there.

this is a fantasy game, you or any characters can be any sexuality you want them to be = it does not need to be advertised no more than i need to run round telling everyone im heterosexual.
