Why is there no women representation in WoW?

You put your foot down and tell her to stop this nonsense.

What steps do you recommend my daughter take avoid some of the weird interactions? I will be doing parental control as well, but since you’re both around the same age she’ll relate to your comment more.

She has no clue how the WoW community is at all, and reading some comments has me worried.

That’s pretty totalitarian.

Tell her to roll a Tauren warrior tank, and to never speak on voice comm.

Problem solved.

Content Creation isn’t bad for kids, it’s a creative outlet.

Haha will do, she went with a Night Elf Druid as she enjoys healing and how they look but i’ll give her that advice.

There’s a bunch of women, especially artists, that hang out on Twitter–myself included. RP realms will probably be the place for her too. In game on a normal realm I don’t talk to people unless I need to. I’ve been able to avoid negativity that way

So the server she picked was Tichondrius, what server do you reccomend is better?

If this kid is anywhere older 13/14 I feel bad

jesus. you are totally brainwashing your poor kids. the future of america is doomed.
Wow is a old dude game. that is why.

How do you play wow and not know who anniefuchsia is? she literally has more mounts and is better at the game than asmonbald…

Alternatively, send your daughter into the Discord server for her class and get her to master her class and min-max her build lol. If she’s a CE raider + regularly selling timed +20 M+ runs, she can be the one flaming whoever she wants.

How is it ‘brainwashing his poor kids’ to suggest WoW to them? Have you read anything beyond the topic of the thread?

Encouraging one’s kids to look at the future and figure out something that they could enjoy doing/learning, that will also be useful for money out in society… That’s not a bad way to take things.

Outright forbidding, yeah, that becomes a bit questionable.

This certainly was:

When nothing I said was dismissive or what you claimed. I explained to the OP that in game there is a lot of female representation— overly so, imo. But the comment about content creators is solely about me and how I know that I am not part of that culture.

I think Human females are women. They are in the Alliance. How much more representation do you need?? Besides, this is a game and not congress. It seems that you came to the wrong place.

Agreed, but there’s a distinct difference when you make it a requirement to stay educated.

why does his daughter “need” to see a “female” streamer? just play on his account to see if she likes it?

No, it’s a statement. Whatever implication you think is there, it isn’t intended. I am not “too old” to try and put myself in the parent’s shoes, or try to see things from the teenager’s perspective. Age does not prevent me from that.

And I never once implied this. At all.

Again, did you read beyond the topic until just now?

His daughter asked the question that sparked the discussion, if you are to take him at face value.

Then what’s the problem, Thallia? You asked what the eye roll was for. I told you why I sent it. If I was wrong to think you used your age as an explanation for why you don’t ‘get’ something, I was wrong. Full stop.
