In hillsbrad there is literally 0 pvp…i often go hours without even seeing an alliance. This is on a server with a login queue(obv a pvp server). This should be a warzone where questing takes a backseat while you have to band together to push the alliance out of the yeti cave to be able to even think about farming quest drops. This is 100% garbage…WHERE…IS…THE…PVP!!!
On a related note entire zones are empty…maybe 3-10 horde. The world feels void and stupid without people to interact with or form groups. I actually enjoy competing for mobs and quest objectives. yes it can be annoying but it still ads flavor to the game. #removelayering
you kids are missing the point…this is a zone where alliance and horde share quests and ALWAYS serves up some pvp. Considering the pop of the server you shouldnt be able to go ALL DAY without even seeing an alliance player and only seeing 3-5 horde. Layering/sharding is garbage and needs removed.
Half of the people in this thread don’t get it. I went to ashenvale today (I am alliance) and my god, ghost town. That place was booming and difficult to get around without running into a fight in the original classic release.
Layering is putting you on servers with almost nobody but yourself and 1-2 others. I’ve killed the lonely player or two as I go, but this is definitely not classic. Classic was an absolute war zone.
And before you say anything, I am on herod. There’s no way there’s only 3 players on Zoram Strand. There are probably hundreds. Yet, I see 2. Me and that lonely horde guy solo questing.
In Hillsbrad, there were hundreds!? If so, they leveled past, and are probably more focused on that sweet sweet 30’s grind. If not, then they are still working their way there. How are people so worried about PvP when the leveling rush is still keeping so many focused away from that… 5 days into release?
What are you talking about? There are literally thousands of players on each realm that are in that level range. And only 2-3 zones that are in that leveling range. It should be INSANELY packed. You shouldn’t be able to walk without seeing a player, a dozen. And fights erupting over tension over “This is our spot now”
Half of my best memories of classic were the absolute wars that broke out in zones during classic. Before battle grounds that -was- the games pvp. You’d sound the alarm that 10/15/20/100000 of the other faction was in hillsbrad starting crap. And boom, world war azeroth began. It was glorious.
You will never see this banding together of factions to face off with layering in place. It -literally- destroys the original classic feel.
I was trying to decide where to go next. So many good memories of Ashenvale, Stonetalon and Hillsbrad. I haven’t explored any of these zones in years, maybe 8…
