Both forms of content you can instantly replace the leaver with no issue…yet the ONE content in the game where if someone leaves you are just screwed out of that time and your key…absolutely no punishment. Already had 3 keys this weekend going along great and then someone just leaves for no reason.
Because if there was one, you would also need punishment for missed interrupts, afking, extra pulls, missing mechanics, dps below tank on single target, etc etc.

And both things you mentioned are “queued” content. I.E., Blizzard put the group together.
There is no punishment for any group content where the player forms the group…likely because you are literally choosing who you are playing with. This includes M+, Raids higher than LFR, and Arenas.

punish for leaving. for all you know they would have lost power or connection to their computor or internet and them being punished for those things would only upset them making many not want to do those thinning the players doing mythic. this also leads into players seeing this happen and people on the forums attacking people for this not likely to do this. have you ever wondered why the game is going more solo? its because of this stuff and this type of thread.
For real. They implemented leaving penalty for PVP and now anyone that even dcs gets a 150 CR and MMR L. Crazy to punish everyone for what a small group of players does. One guy in my disc had like 3 dcs over the course of a couple days and it sent him back into the shadow realm mmr range
If they left only to throw you into a fit, along with having you create a thread about it, they already have a pretty good reason. And you’re playing right into it.
Start forming groups and quit pugging. Else I’ll see you in your next created thread mentioning nowhere that you’ve created a group.
group content dies when you punish people for things that are out of their control. also the only people i see having issues with mythic dungeon key leavers based on forums people i know in game are those who dont have a guild they do it with.
Because in those modes you do not get to choose your teammates. M+ are custom groups, meaning you willingly chose to group with those players. Blizzard has made their stance pretty clear that they are not going to police custom groups except for egregious and intentional griefing practices, and that’s how it should be.
Only times I have is if the keyholder, or someone the keyholder is partied with, is flaming and being a complete DBag the whole time. Maybe done it like twice since BFA.

Had a CB this morning. Lowest dps left after he stood in a puddle and died. It was the only death. 14 minutes on the timer on our way to 2nd to last boss… oh and “how do you know they didn’t just lose power” comment…losing power doesn’t make you type “you guys suck” (etc) in chat and leave group…
Yeah I’ve done thousands of M+ runs since BFA and have never seen this happen. You’re either outright lying or exaggerating. And if it’s happening to you often enough that you felt the need to make a forum post about it, you’re the common denominator in all of your groups, and are probably the problem.

I actually was healing a +12 Cinderbrew a couple days ago and my internet just died right at the end of the bee boss. Took me about 10 mins to reset everything and log back in to find the group disbanded and myself dead. We were doing fine and going to time it too.
Do you really think the other 4 people looked at the situation and thought that I left on purpose because it wasn’t going as perfect as can be?
