After like the 12th time this quest chain is SO TEDIOUS, and the garrison HS requires doing it. Why isn’t there a skip by now? Why must we suffer through WoD SO MUCH!

There is a skip. Two of them, actually. This is the easier one though.

The entire sequence is good exp in rapid succession, so I never skip it.

Yeah you can’t get out of it once you start. But now you know for next time.
I’m on a max level character that I never got the garrison for, so I just wanted the HS. =/
Exp literally means nothing to me in this case.
Well apparently just portalling into Ashran then flying to the garrison area worked.

Thanks for this. Yes i always make a garrison, for every new toon, even if they rarely go there. Apparently, i have done that starting quests 18 times now.
After not doing it for several years, i didn’t mind hitting it up again with my drackthyr.

I always just abandon the quest before going through the gate. That brings me out at the crash site and I can then go straight to make the garrison. Just remember to NOT turn the quest in to Khadgar at the gate, abandon it and go on through.

I’ve leveled SO many alts starting in WoD and had no idea this was a thing. I don’t even mind 90% of the intro, I just hate the “kill 200 orcs with a cannon” part so much.

Haha! I stood on that rock where Drek’Thar gives you that quest to find Ga’Nar/Durotans bro spam killing trash mobs that would keep rushing towards Drek Thar for an hour lol. Gained 2 levels doing that lol. Course that was back when looms were still good also. Those trash mobs were like 500 xp per kill. And killing the gronnling looking big npc’s at the time gave close to 1k xp.
I’ve done this questline more times than I can count. It’s GREAT for speed leveling. But yeah, pretty miserable if you just want your Garrison or are a completionist.
Khadgar should offer a skip.

Now don’t ye go doin’ anythin’ inappropriate with that gun powder.
If you don’t accept the quest from Khadgar and go right through the portal you’ll be at the garrison quests.
Least if I remember right.

You can skip it. I’ve done it many times. Take the portal to Ashran and go to the location in Draenor where you end up after the intro.
