Why is there no addon that puts npc markers on world map?

In classic, there is a good plug in for handy notes that shows npcs on map.

Retail, for some reason, has no such plug in. Is there anything similar? I know you can ask guards but I would like to see everything at once.

There are add-ons that will put rares on the map if that’s what you want. Don’t know of any that place any other sort of npc. Most things you can ask a guard for you can also track on your mini map. Click the magnifying glass icon and the list should be there.

I know, you can ask guards for locations and the mini map will track npcs.

But I’m just really surprised there’s no addon that shows ALL npcs on the map and let me pick where I want to go without having to ask the guard a hundred questions or make me wander around like an idiot hoping it’ll show on the mini map.

I would’ve thought retail would have this and not just classic.

Yeah, I was sad when I looked and looked but I could only find it for classic.

I would at least think there’d be a HandyNotes plugin for it.

Have you found anything? I am looking for the same kind of addon.

Not really, no.

I just ended up using the mini map for everything.
