I am honestly done with this expansion, maybe WoW in general at this point.
However a major recurring pet peeve is the fact that there has not been a single update to any holiday event in literal years. These are the exact same events i remember 5…6…10 years ago.
Why is there not more outrage over this? It is the epitome of laziness to reuse the same design and quest rewards year after year after year and to be quite frank its just stupid. Who is excited about this stuff anymore?
Its like…my god. Make a new transmog set. A new quest. Some interesting toys or weapons or ANYTHING.

I think the last lunar festival the added a quest to make the flower crowns transmoggable year round
i want new lunar festival elders in pandaria , like Pandriarchs, Mogu, and Jinyu elders etc

Yes they did and I did them last year.
Its funny you say that because FFXIV does just that. Every “holiday event” they have is a completely different quest(which sometimes references the past events, npcs remember you from last year, ect) with sometimes old rewards but mostly new rewards too.
The most fun one is halloween event’s yearly quest progression(they skipped it last year due to short notice covid forcing them to get people to work from home), but every year they have an updated chapter to an halloween story they are doing with a mysterious npc everyone iss dying to figure out who she is(some kind of spirit). They make events very fun…WoW devs need to take a note from this.
WoW devs just focus on the current expansion too much and tend to forget side content.

They wasted Drustvar’s potential for a Hallow’s End event. They’ll likely waste Revendreth’s potential too.

Revendreth doesn’t came off as halloween-ish for me thought. It comes off as Dracula/vampire-type feel.

Because most people know there are better use of time and resources than adding on holiday events.
Blizzard trickles new things slowly and sparingly. We got a new Pepe for Winter Veil 2020.

Is it the amazing class balance for pvp with ret 2 shotting people and only 5 specs being in every arena and bg or is it the boring tedious questing that is literally repeats?
Maybe the gorgeous transmog of the same item over and over and a slightly different shade that will only take months and months of grinding.

Ah yes, it’s not like there’s an expansion of content available to you, and I’m not even sure what class balancing has to do with updating events.

when the holidays were updated in Wrath to give achivements toys mounts pets and the long time it’s been meta people would be excitedly waiting for the event and they would feel alive!
now no one cares outside of a few unlucky people who need the mounts or in the case of the love rocket nearly every player.

Vampires are core Halloween though.
It still baffles me that the event based on the Lunar New Year isn’t celebrated by the in-game country that was based on the real-world country that celebrates the Lunar New Year, while we do get Pandaren-themed Lunar New Year mounts each year.

World events matter. This is an MMORPG, not a raid simulator.
Really wish they’d go all out on them. Skin some of the battlegrounds, more HD transmogs to get from them, new modern mini-games.
Venthyr seem to be the only covenant getting anything themed for the holidays, and that is pissing me off because they least they could do is put up some decorations in the other sanctums.

The content is not fun
Im not grinding mythics all day long for a 5% chance of gear.
They ruined pvp.
They can’t update a single thing in an MMORPG to be interesting and new.
How you cannot see that this entire expansion was made to draw out content artificially is beyond me.
Run torghast. Layer after layer week after week. Dailies ontop of dailies. Horrid gear grind. 100k honor grind to then have to do pve anyway because the gear is useless in rated with 215+ pve everywhere.
The content is trash. Hence why im done.
The least these lazy horrible people could do is update some events once a year. My god. They bring in hundreds of millions a year lmao the excuses are incredible

Some Night Elf buildings and some cultural elements do actually mimic that, though. 
You are the one who brought it up. 
And because of this, they may have dug a hole that they can’t really do much about. The zones they’ve added are so massive that unless you want to deal with loading screens and endless portals and flight paths, we’re not going to be going back to those places in current content. I’d love for them to add a giant halloween party in an updated spooky zone from BfA, an event that every player would go to, but they’re so hyper-focused on raiding and gear progression that it’s unlikely we’ll ever get things that are (IMO) super fun like that.
