There is more 11 stuff coming after Midnight, why is that? Is this the first expansion to release content for two at the same time? That seems really confusing to play, how would raiding work? Or is it because it’s a trilogy they are all considered 11.x?

They haven’t fully said yet but it’s on the road map.
The road map doesn’t have the release of midnight on it.

They’re just going to show us the expansion features and probably a release date.

Blizz done got soooo many folks confused with this roadmap, more like a roadblock at this point.
Going to be some super disappointed players if they don’t get corrected before the reveal.

As other people have said, you’re reading it incorrectly. Midnight reveal is on the road map, not the actual expansion release.
They list the Midnight expansion reveal to occur sometime between patch 11.2 and 11.2.5 which is the anniversary event patch around the end of October to early November.
It’s not the release timeframe for the actual Midnight expansion.
Based on the road map for 2025, it doesn’t seem likely that Midnight will release until 2026, as there’s always a 5-6 month Alpha/Beta cycle to get through first.
