Why is there bias against inviting players into M+ groups who haven't played since previous seasons?

I would almost say make the pool bigger but might easily end up with the same quota of dungeon styles we get every season

“That one dungeon everyone hates and is very hard to time it beyond a +1” Neltharius

“The free dungeon” Azure Vault or this season’s Brackenhide Hollow

“The dungeon you want to hurt someone when it’s on Tyranical but it’s free on Fort or vice versa.”

Season 3 of SL had 10 dungeons and I thought it was manageable.

Love, whers your next commentary which catches me in inconsistencies? I am kinda feeling left out :frowning:

It’s about ladder climbing. You start at bottom, get score, move up. People who try to jump ahead into high keys without the score are high risk. If I am doing a +5, I want to know you could at least time a +4.

Normally when I make keys, I find geared players who are both over geared and have done higher keys and just want to farm crests lol. No reason to bring low score players

I disagree with Sosari on a ton of things especially mythic plus but in this particular discussion it seems you’re droning on and on for no other reason than to troll but I could be wrong

Nothing insane but yeah 2-6 extra dungeons might do a lot. Would certainly be fun to see at least for one season.

The bigger the pool the less overall familiarity with each dungeon, so we end up in this loop of “no-one does this dungeon because its hard > no-one knows this dungeon because nobody does it > this dungeon is hard because no-one knows it”.

It wasn’t as bad in SL/DF as it was in previous expansions (I don’t think I EVER ran Seat or Cathedral in M+ during Legion).

I think the sweet spot for variety is 10 dungeons per season personally.

Yeah 10 was good, I would be down for that. 12 might be too much.

Eight dungeons is ideal amount.

I wouldn’t mind it, more variety would probably work for 10 and under.

Cathedral was doable at least, Seat was so freaking awful that it was probably the only dungeon I ever ran across in mythic plus where good players actually could seriously struggle at 7 or below. The smarter ones flat our refused to do it even with their friends and guilds heh.

I don’t think I ever timed a Seat beyond a 7 on any toon ever. The thrash density was insane, the bosses were hard and certain affix combinations made that dungeon literal hell, x2-x5 harder than the rest of the pool.

Sosori, I am right now trying to create a character with the name “Backpedal” (it would be paladin tank of course) and check this.
… to disable S button (right after creation) so it cannot move backwards, how evil is that ?

This is actually one of the best ways to filter for someone good if ever unsure so wholly agreed. Rarely had this fail me.

This is also something I do. Even if it says they have a higher score’d main, I don’t put much stock in it because their main being able to do a certain key level doesn’t mean that they are as proficient with their alt.

Big red flag, especially for a level eight key.

Yeah a lot of people are terrible on alts. I’d know. I have 60 toons. I am fairly good on Resto Shammies, Healy Priests, but put me on a Holy Paladin and ya prolly gonna die lol!

I click when I DPS, so my high ilvl DPS toons are still gonna be bad, I also don’t interrupt etc lol.

It’s why I run my own keys and find people who can carry me

That’s very impressive. I only main and play 1 toon per expansion. I can’t get past the level grind lol

Run your own key!

I level in Chromie Time/Timewalking. I dungeon for leveling. Questing is the slog that I hate doing. Also I wait for leveling events for bonus XP etc.

I usually “main” like 3 toons per season, but switch up what I play often. Also depending on team needs. Like I went to a Holy Priest for 1 raid tier as group had no priests.

And for M+ I like to challenge myself by playing different classes/roles etc. I have hit 2k on healers, a tank and range. Never tried melee.

In fairness, picking a holy paladin is usually just a mistake. … And yes, the punch line of the joke is that my life is just a series of mistakes lol.

It’s really funny how ppl downplay 3k. 3k is an impressive score.
