Whoa, what ladder are you all playing/seeing successful prot warriors? I played a bit of it last season, but I wasn’t sure how well it would be this one with the crit nerfs. It was a lot of fun last season though.

Prot literally has your toolkit and additions to make you do next to 0 damage (quite literally) and has a burst every 30 sec thats brutal
Maybe get to 70 first then you’re on…otherwise it just ain’t a fair fight.

There aren’t any because the spec is actually terrible but it has a few things which it kind of does.
Warriors in PvP were always kind of average on their own, but put a pocket healer behind them and they become beasts.
Right now a fury warrior doesn’t need a pocket healer because the self heals outmatch anything any other class can do except maybe tank druid? Will never OOM, doesn’t have to sacrifice any damage for just constant stream of passive/active healing, when combined with all the mobility/antiCC and wears plate and great DPS… it needs it’s self healing changed to damage reduction effects and give them better burst via cooldowns to offset the nerf.
It’s important to never buff a class to OP levels where it requires nerfs because no player likes to log in to see their class nerfed no matter how warranted it was.
I would love to see tanks be given a role in PvP for the first time in WoW’s 18 years. Tank specs should be able to shutdown DPS burst attempts/great CC/strong mobility but their damage should be weaker as an offset.

I don’t even know who you are and as such, your calling me out on my ignorance of your identity reeks of narcissism.
Basically I don’t know you and you just aren’t that important to me or my forum experience.
The issue with this is that it can enable certain super damp comps that just kind of…reactively live for however long until their team wins with damage. There are already comps that do this much better, and tanks as a role don’t really have the frontline/cc/initiation responsibilities they have in other games (and I doubt people would enjoy losing parts of their kit on dps/healer).
Not really sure how to “fix” tanks. The increased dmg taken thing and constant nerfs feel like they’re intentionally keeping them bad, which most people probably prefer.
I wonder if they had plans for them or something because a lot of tanks have a ton of really cool honor talents but their numbers have just been kneecapped to such a crazy degree.

Seems like someone did, but it got put on the back burner since it’s more of a niche gameplay style for probably 95%> of tank capable classes.
Still it’d be nice to see tank specs become less of a niche and better integrated into the overall PvP meta. Would certainly add a new element of gameplay/twist to PvP of 18 years, which I feel a lot of veteran players would enjoy thoroughly.

That’s an interesting attempt at trying to DARVO your way out of my observation regarding the traits of narcissism inherent in your replies to me.
It is quite disheartening considering all I initially said was that I only fear fury warriors and, when you replied wanting to duel me as a prot warrior, I said you should level to 70 first (based on the level of the toon you were posting on).
The claim you have made stating that I have begged you to post on your main is itself indicative of narcissistic tendencies as it reveals that you perceive yourself as being placed on a higher level of the social hierarchy than myself, who you perceive as a supplicant. If you reread my replies, you will see that I have merely stated that I don’t know who your main is unless you post on it.
Lastly stating that I am having a hissy fit when you were the one that initially engaged in a negative manner is disingenuous and is meant to decrease credibility. Usually a person does this when they are trying to silence perceived opposition and it is not conducive to rational discussion.
So we either engage in a civil discussion regarding WoW or I will ignore you from hereon my dude.
