Why is there a "Complete Order" button?

Is there an actual gameplay reason to have a separate button to complete a crafting order after, well, completing making the thing ordered?

The only times I become aware of this button are the many, many times I have made the item, run to the mail box, then remember that I haven’t pressed the “Complete Order” button, then have to run back, hit the button, then run back to the mailbox again.

Why is this a thing?

sometimes you’re not happy with it so you try again with a different combination of material ranks? i dunno.

why does walmart have a “check out” button?

You have the capacity to recraft rather than sending back a product immediately.
