The portal to Dornogal in Orgrimmar is on the lower tier.
The newest expansions should always be top, just put an older portal on the lower tier…

Stormwind is kind of a similar situation. It’s in the room that’s further to get because it’s in the back. My guess is that they don’t rotate portals so that they are consistent and people don’t have to look around to see where they’ve moved each expansion. That being said, it would be nice if it was in a more convenient place.

I’m still wondering why they didn’t put WoTLK Dalaran at the bottom and put Dornogal up top.

Exactly, i was expecting this to happen.
It’s strange to have to go down and further for the newest expac.
They can be consistent for an expac and change when necessary, they’ve rotated stuff before when they made the new rooms.

I think they are just putting portals where the portals fit, and they are making the assumption that players will simply have to learn where the portals are at. Since… we are gonna get more portals. Lots more portals, for as long as WoW is around so… they have to go somewhere after all!
I can understand wanting the ‘newest’ portals to be the most convenient to access, but I can also understand not wanting to shuffle portals around so folks don’t have to relearn locations whenever it happens/end up going to the wrong places on accident.

Think we’re running out of portals people don’t use a lot
I think they chose the dumbest place to put the Alliance portal room, always such a headache for me when I play Alli alts.
I wish they’d move it to a more sensible building.
Yeah but it’s once per expac… learn once per expac or have the portal be in an inconvenient place going into the next 4 expacs?
Since next expac the portal is going to be in the same place as the one for Dorn is… and the next and the next until it fills up.

Relearning once per xpac is more than not having to do it at all!
Plus, the portal for the latest hub only matters until its debut expansion is over. After that, the majority of active players will be going to the next hub and won’t care about the now-old hub anymore.

So being inconvenienced once per 1.5-2 years to re-learn where an older expac portal is located instead of being inconvenienced every time you go through it for the next 4 expacs until the room is filled by going to that location is worse?
How is something you do constantly better than something (learning) you do once, is worse?
It matters all of that expansion time and the next ones as well, because the location will be the same, the lower tier lvl.
The issue is the position of the hub, it takes longer to get to it, than being in the upper tier.
Learning (once per expac) where something re-located is less of an inconvenience, than using a bad location for the next 4~ expacs.
