Why is the old swirly still in the game?

Patch 11.1 introduced updated AoE markers with clearer, brighter outlines and more transparent interiors to improve visibility and help players avoid dangerous areas during raids and encounters. These new markers were intended to address long-standing issues with the old swirly AoE markers, which often had blurry edges that blended into environments, making them hard to distinguish amidst visual clutter.

This is no doubt a great feature, but what I cannot understand is why is the old swirly being used? And I’m not talking about old content; season 2 delves and other current content are using a mix of both new and old swirlies. The inconsistency is frustrating and all I want to know is: why?
