Everything else in this game works the first time you click it, but not mail boxes.

Oh no, minimum 5 clicks before you can retrieve your mail

Or press the “Open All” button and get internal server errors

Why is the mailbox so janky?

I’ve never had this issue, but these are the best steps to follow to try fix it:

  1. Make sure it’s not an addon messing it up
  2. Exit game, delete cache folder
  3. Do a full UI reset

I’ve not had any issues opening mailboxes. You definitely seem to have some sort of issue going on there but I have no idea what…

I’ve never had this problem besides when I open the mailbox then get mail again (AH) and try to retrieve it before the mailbox reset period (1m or after a reload).

This I do get all the time, and I’ve noticed if I buy say battle pets and click open all and try to learn the battle pets as they land in my bags during open all it’ll make the mailbox error I guess and the open all operation will stop.

I’ve had some issues with mailbox running zero addons, it is indeed a bit janky at times. It’s also quite slow in processing mail in retail, feels a lot faster in classic.

Had issues with the mailbox just not even opening a pane, that’s the most common one for me and sometimes running across the zone to another one fixes it.

It’s not that the mailbox doesn’t work for me, but when I open things (especially from the AH) it takes 5+ clicks to actually get the item to move from the mailbox to my bags.

If I click “Open All” it will open and move everything, but it spams me errors the entire time

I have no addons that interact with the mailbox. I use DBM and weakauras, that’s it.

It just seems super laggy and clunky

You definitely have an addon doing something weird.

i’ve had it happen to me too at times that i didn’t have a single addon installed. for me, it’s been going on for a long time.

I have had some issues when retrieving brew-of-the-month. For me, at least, it seems to be a loading issue. If I click too quickly, there is nothing in the mailbox. I never do “open all” so I don’t know if I would have problems using it.
